The American DJ UVLED 48EL is a 4'-long black light LED fixture which gives you the look and footprint of a traditional fluorescent black light tube, but with the advantages of long-life LEDs (approximately 50,000 hours), low heat output, low power consumption, and no moving parts. Designed to create ultraviolet color washes, it is well suited for small performance stages, lounges, mobile productions, or special-effects installs.

The UVLED 48EL features 96 0.3W SMD UV LEDs, which produce a wide, 120° beam angle. The LED bar is removable and can be replaced if necessary. Easy to operate, the unit features an On/Off switch, an auto-sensing power supply with a 3' power cord attached, and built-in mounting points, so it can be positioned wherever it's needed.

A: I have so far replaced one CFL bulb and found the matching 5000 Kelvin temp rating for it. Because of the heat output of the 7 lamps in the confined space of the light I would not exceed the total 350W rating of any combined bulbs, unless for brief periods, only - or in cold environments.

A: According to the manufacturer, when using the Raya Octa Fluorescent 7-Socket Fixture 1-Light Softbox Kit, using the included Eiko 26-watt bulbs, inner baffle, and diffuser would be 678 lux @1 meter (3.3 feet). The CCT color temperature is 5,061K, with color accuracy measurements listed as CRI 87.6 and TCLI of 70. Unfortunately, they did not have a lumens measurement for this light fixture setup.

A: From a customer stand point, I have enjoyed using the Octa Fluorescent 7- socket 2 light softbox kit due to the features of using the full spectrum of lighting or cutting back half depending on my level of light needed for photography sessions. There was no change in lighting temperature during usage and it gives a nice overall lighting even if used for videography.
