The 10' 50/125µm Fiber Optic Patch Multimode Simplex SC to SC 10Gb OM3 from Avenview is tested to ensure reliable performance in critical applications. The cable features SC connectors with keyed duplexibility to support send/receive channels. These SC connectors are easier to use than the twist-style ST connectors in compact spaces. The SC cable has a 2.5mm ferrule and molded housing for protection. Typical matched SC connectors are rated for 1000 mating cycles and have an insertion loss of 0.25 dB. This SC connector has square snap-in connector latches with a simple push-pull motion and is keyed. The cable can be applied in high-density connections, fiber extenders, Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, active device termination, the military industry, telecommunication networks, MAN, WAN, and for testing solutions.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this filter have a "normal" stop where it acts like a UV filter and doesn't darken the image or will automatically darken when put on?

A: This filter is always darkening the image by 10 stops. This is not a variable filter, it is a fixed 10 stop ND filter.

Q: 2. what does the warranty cover

A: The B+W Limited Warranty will cover any manufacturer defect. Accidental damage, scratches, and wear and tear will not be covered.

Q: 3. Would this be adequate for the eclipse?

A: I wouldn't try it. The UV and other wavelengths that a re harmfull aren't blocked by it. But it's your sensor.

Q: 4. Can I use this for a solar eclipse? Please respond soon because I need it for the 8/21/17 eclipse!!

A: I tested this filter on a Canon 70D with a 300mm focal length lens looking at the Sun. For taking a photo of the partial eclipse, you should use a setting of f11 or higher with a shutter speed of a thousandth of a second or shorter and a low ISO of 100 or less to get an unsaturated sharp image.

Q: 5. Is this filter adaptable to a Nikon f/2.8 24-70mm VR ED and if so, how do I adapt a 40.5mm filter to the lens?

A: You can use step down rings but it would present too many problems. It will be much better for you to get the 82mm filter instead. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/871605-REG/B_W_65_1073163_82mm_3_0_ND_110.html If that is too much here's a cheaper alternative https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1109457-REG/tiffen_82nd30_82mm_axent_neutral_density.html

Q: 6. differences between this single coated filter and the MRC version for more $ ??

A: I dont really know, but it may have to do with the color cast. The ND filter I use leaves a reddish brown cast, which sometimes works with the photo, but is easily fixable if you shoot RAW.

Q: 7. Hi, Did you notice color casting or shifting using this filter on long exposures (e.g. 20-30 )?I wonder if there's any difference in THAT regard with the MRC version?(B+W - 77mm 3.0 ND MRC 110M Filter - which is much more expensive..)Thank you!!

A: Hey Pablo, sorry for the delay in replying, I've been away. Yes, I found I need to cool it by about 700 degrees..Peter

Q: 8. Hi,- What is the thickness of the filter's frame? And without counting the threads?- Is it easy to clean?- Does it have threads on both sides?Thank you!!

A: Pablo,The thickness of the filter frame:with threads = 9/32 inch (.28125 inch)without threads = 11/64 inch (.17188 inch)Yes, it is easy to clean.Yes, the filter has threads on both sides. Female on the front of the filter and Male on the back side of the filter.I hope this helps.Best regards,David Rudd

Q: 9. How does this ND filter work with ultra wide lens (10-18mm) or a wide angle (18-35mm)?

A: It works perfectly fine when used with a 10-18mm lens. No issues here.

Q: 10. im deciding between this and the hoya pro nd 1000. which should i choose? i notice theres a pretty big price difference- $50. -thanks

A: I have been pleased with this one. I have not used the Hoya but have not found a need.

The filter is quality made and exactly the item needed to create long exposure during daylight hours. It has added to my creative portfolio of equipment.

This filter does exactly what it's supposed to. It allows me to hold the shutter open much longer than normally; blurring whatever moves. It works great and keeps the image super sharp. The only con is that it must be screwed onto the front of the lens after focusing, which sometimes twists the manual focus ring.

Only used it a couple of times so far, to shoot waterfalls. I was worried that it would make the viewfinder too dark to let me focus. I was right, but it was no trouble at all with live view. A 30 s exposure gives some nice blur - just make sure the trees aren't blowing around too much in the breeze.

Been wanting to give long exposures a go, finally decided to purchase another B+W filter, having the Cir-Pol and love it. This is very well made and does the job perfectly.

Used for landscape photography. Allows good color saturation, smooths motion of water, allows capture of people moving. Using a chart, it's easy to set up and use to capture long exposures. No cons that I see other than any dust on the lens really shows.
