Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the diameter of the base for this item?

A: The Atlas DMS10E has a 10 diameter cast iron base.

Q: 2. How much input voltage should be

A: Atlas does not specify the exact voltage but the inputs will take line level signal from any source that can output line level signal.

Q: 3. What is the recommended wiring?

A: Wire size depends on how many amps your pushing to the speaker and the distance to the speaker. For this speaker I would recommend a 14 gauge wire (preferably shielded). You can purchase this wire (14/2) from most music shops and home improvement stores. Just ask for 14/2 stranded speaker wire some times referred to as low volt cable. Hope this helped, I'm a IBEW union electrician with a background in sound.

Q: 4. The picture for the Atlas MS-12CE is the same as the picture for the Atlas MS-10CE stand. Can you please post the correct picture for the Atlas MS-12CE stand?

A: The stand I have has the flatter base, rather than the rounded base. It seems more stable to me than the rounded version.

Q: 5. Will this fit Canon r5+battery grip+70-200 2.8?

A: The Hazard 4 Grill Hard-MOLLE Photo Pack (Black) is not large enough to fit the Canon R5 with a battery grip and the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens attached. However, it will fit if the lens is not attached to the camera and you place the camera flat in the bag.

Q: 6. Will the base on this stand accept the Atlas wheels (three casters on arms)?

A: Looks like it should. Try contacting Atlas direct. Maybe they can help you be certain of compatibility. Sorry couldn't be more help.

Q: 7. Can this hold a 12LBS isolation filter shield without a danger of tipping over?

A: I have not used any isolation filters, yet. However, as I do own this Atlas MS25 microphone stand, I am absolutely confident that it would support both a 12 lb isolation stand and a heavy condenser mic simultaneously ! I feel reasonably confident that it would also support the isolation filter extended on a boom as long as your boom is heavily counter weighted. It's a great heavy duty stand. I suspect you may have some difficulty moving the stand, with an additional 12lbs mounted, around the room. I love the one I have and intend to buy another.

Q: 8. What is the country of origin for FA138?

A: The FA138 are manufactured in China.

Q: 9. What color is the grille?

A: The Atlas FAP40T ships with a white grill.

Q: 10. will this device mask a noisy Air conditioner sound?

A: No it will not. It is designed to mask conversations.

Stand looks and feels great. Note that this has a nice Crome finish although the current photo shows the black version.

This is the standard floor mic stand by Atlas Sound, strong and stable, works like advertised. Been using these stands for years, just bought another one. They last for a long time (won't say a lifetime because I'm not dead yet!). Solid construction, industry standard item.

Sound quality is much better than the paper cone 8 70v cone speakers often used for background audio. You can actually turn these up and have good audio quality.

I had purchased a vintage Mercury microphone and needed a stand for it (it's a photo prop for me). The mike screwed on perfectly, and it's perfect for what I needed it for.

This magnificent device seemingly conquers the Newtonian attraction of microphone. Vs. floor. An elegant design which far surpasses other options such as duck tape, coat hangers, or very small presenters.

I am very happy with this stand. It is very well built with a professional look. Very sturdy and attractive. Can't beat the price either. Great deal!

These haven't changed much in 70+ years. The clutch is still amazing, and the build excellent. Get it, use it. Not really the best thing for recording, in my experience, as they are more prone to transmitting vibration.
