Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this help eliminate computer fan noise?

A: This would help to reduce fan noise from a pc. For best results, you would want to use this, spaced as far away from the pc as possible, with the rejection side of the mic facing the pc.

Q: 2. Will this work with the Audio Technica 4040 microphone?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 3. What do I need to buy to make this lens weather resistant? There's a filter and an adaptor, I believe, but exactly what do I buy

A: The FUJIFILM XF 18mm f/2 R Lens is not a weather-sealed lens, and nothing can be done to change that. However, FUJIFILM does make an 18mm f1.4 lens that is weather-sealed. Please take a look at the following link: https://bhpho.to/31OGHA7.

Q: 4. Would this work with a Rode NT-USB Mini? I imagine it would if the bottom hole in the foam was shipped with a circular cutout, which I could leave in.

A: Unfortunately, I think the knobs on the side of the NT-USB will get in the way when mounting this. Using a reflection filter that does not surround the mic fully will probably be a better option for the mic you have.

Q: 5. What is the best mic stand for this?

A: There isn't really any one specific mic stand that is best for the ISO-ARMOR-2. It can be mounted on shorter desktop/tabletop stands and also on taller full-size floor stands. It's a matter of what works best for your application and the microphone your are using.

Q: 6. Will it work with a Blue Bluebird microphone?

A: Yes, the Auray ISO-ARMOR-2 works with microphones that have a diameter of up to 2.3”. The Blue Bluebird has a 1.87" diameter so it will fit inside the isolation chamber.

Q: 7. What are the differences between UVAT, UVBTS, and UV MRC filters?

A: The "AT" refers to the construction of the filter ring as aluminum with top knurling. "BTS" means brass with top and side knurling. "MCR" refers to multi resistant coating but the Chiaro 82mm 90-UVAT UV Filter is not an MRC filter.

Q: 8. Will this work with the Procaster Mic?

A: No. This device is designed for a large diaphragm side address mic. The Procaster is an end address mic not meant for these types of filters.

Q: 9. Will this work on a desk anchored boom with Heil FL-2, supporting an AT2035 mic? I'm aware that it would accommodate the mic but wonder about the weight on the swivel boom?

A: It really depends on how much weight the boom arm can support. The combined weight of the Auray ISO-ARMOR-2 and AT2035 is 2.2 lbs without including an XLR cable. The Heil Sound FL-2 Flange Mount is designed to work with the Heil Sound PL2T Overhead Studio and Broadcast Boom Mount (B&H # HEPL2T) which can support up to 3.5 lbs. Based on this information, if you are using the PL2T or a similar boom arm that is capable of supporting the weight, it should work. Regardless, it is still a substantial amount of weight for a boom arm, so I would recommend being very careful when moving the arm with the mic and isolation mount attached and avoid placing it where it may be accidentally bumped.

Q: 10. the Auray ISO-ARMOR-2 Q & A works with a RODE k2 correctly?

A: I have a Rode K2 and it does fit inside.
