The reds and the yellows are very intense, color may not be accurate but it is on another level. If you are looking for accurate and clinical image reproduction then this is not for you. I would not over expose it, I shot all of them at ISO 200 and meter carefully and the colors just pop. The shadows can easily turn black and the whites can be very bright very white. A fun color film to play around with, definitely not your general purpose color film. Follow Harman's suggestions and shoot it under even consistent lighting for best results.

Before shooting this incredible film I poured over as many of the reviews online as I could find. Armed with the knowledge of high contrast, high halation, color shifts, deep shadows, and moderate grain...I planned to use these qualities to make creative images. I was blown away by the amazing images in my first roll. I totally love the unique character of this beautiful film. And without a doubt I would say this is my favorite film for a strong aesthetic vibe with images of attitude. I highly recommend buying a few rolls to have a boatload of fun before they change this very special and unique film! I've attached a few photos from my first roll!

Loved all the hype and so I loaded my Yashica T3 and fired away! I tried this film both in low light and around bright settings. The sunset skies were interesting and gave a hing of vignette. To me I would call this Punk Rock film. It reminds me of posters of krust, doom, and metal album covers that were screenprinted. It also can be on the brighter side gorgeous. Here are some samples of my first roll.

My new favorite color film. If I wanted perfect colors, no grain, super high dynamic range, like with aerocolor or portra, I'd just use my digital camera. Phoenix has character, in spades. It feels warm, happy, optimistic. Bright popping colors, a fun surprise at first but when you learn it well, you will be able to predict what photos will look like just fine. You should shoot it around ISO 125 IMO if developing normally, or alternatively shoot it at around 64-80 and then pull 1 stop. Don't go that low without pulling. Pulling reduces some of the character and fixes it more, if you like the look but don't want to commit as much. I scan my film myself, set a photo based white balance on the empty leader of the film, and from there, literally just inverting it in photoshop usually is pretty close to good.

This was such a fun film to try out. It’s beautiful and the colors are so lovely. I purchased enough rolls to last me all summer.
