This digital camo Neoprene Cover from LensCoat is a protective covering designed to fit the Sirui PH-20 gimbal head. Its closed cell neoprene construction helps to shield the PH-20 from routine wear and tear and also acts as a thermal barrier, protecting the users hands from hot or cold components.

For those photographing in the outdoors, the cover's color and pattern help to break up the shape of the PH-20, reducing its visibility to wildlife and helping you to hide in plain sight.

Q: 8. Are true bearings (such as needle, cone or roller bearings) used in the bottom (pan) and the top (tilt) mechanisms, or do these mechanisms instead use lubricated bushings (such as bronze or teflon)? I ask because bushings are inferior over time as they fail much more quickly.

This gimbal is super smooth handling my D7100 with Tamron 150-600 lens, plus the Tamron 1.4 Teleconverter, for a load of almost 7 pounds. The fit and finish is immaculate and the lock knobs and rotation mechanisms are very smooth. I bought this for shooting the total solar eclipse, the moon and wildlife.

This gimbal is silky smooth in both feel and rotation on the key rotational points. The adjustment knobs are also very smooth with a comfortable grip. Comes in a very nice canvas style carry bag with a strong zipper.
The movement and amount of tension can be adjusted quite easily and has an assured feel to whatever strength of tension you need.
Overall, this an excellent choice for both amateur and professional alike and the silky-smooth feel of the gimbal is nice too.
I would highly recommend this gimbal to anyone, and it makes an excellent cost-effective alternative that can definitely compete with the higher end of the gimbal range.

This gimbal head makes for a very compact setup leaving me with more space in my photography bag for all the other stuff I have to bring with me.

Since the vertical slide is not really long, I had problem at first with balancing my Sony 200-600 using the factory foot with an arca-swiss plate mounted to it. This was an easy fix, in order to move the center of gravity of the lens lower, I simply upgraded the foot to a Wimberley AP-620.

Once everything is balanced, panning and tilting operation are both really smooth. It has no drag adjustment, only locking but, the head is preset with perfect drag out of the box making this a non-issue.

I'm really satisfied with this purchase.

I needed something to hold my camera with a heavy lens. This gimbal is easy to use and sturdy enough to hold the 10+ pounds of camera/lens setup I have. I had never used a gimbal before and had I known how easy to use and setup I would have gotten this sooner. It's well made and holds my camera/lens with no problem. Would highly recommend it.
