Q: 4. Is there a way to use the reducing bushing with 1/4-20 screw to attach the plate to the Canon R5?

Q: 5. Does the Peak Design Dual Plate and/or Standard Plate work with this Manfrotto 496 tripod head? I have read on the support website that some (but not all) RC2 heads are compatible with the Dual Plate. Thank you!

A: From previous testing, the Dual Plate fits on RC2-style heads like the Manfrotto 496. :) According to Peak Design's support site/plate comparison page, there doesn't seem to be any discrepancies in compatibilities with the RC2 system. https://support.peakdesign.com/hc/en-us/articles/201291383

I'm a food photographer and have been using this for every shoot since I got it.

It's fluid and really easy to get the exact angles I want. The bubble levels are helpful too.

Note: If you need to tilt your camera 90° don't forget to pull out the handle for one of the adjustment knobs. I didn't realized the pulled out at first and was wondering why I kept hitting the knob when tilting the camera.

Great gear. Had it before 4th of July and took some great pics of fireworks. Very steady.

This is the 3rd tripod I have ever owned, and it's by far the best. I don't think the online product information does this tripod justice. It is very easy to adjust the legs in many ways. There are two extendable leg sections, and the releases are very easy to use. There are four set leg angles that click into place, but you can also adjust the legs at any angle between the clickable settings. You can even extend the legs so they lie flat on the ground. Each leg adjusts separately. Also, you can extend the vertical column straight up and then bend it over horizontally so your camera can be pointed straight down or straight up. The vertical column does not appear to be steady enough to use it in the vertical position; the purpose of the column is to bend it over to use your camera at a 90 degree angle. With the legs positioned flat on the ground and the column in the horizontal position, the camera can be positioned very low to the ground. There are rubber grips on two of the legs, which will be great on cold winter days. Other features: a built-in level; a hook to hang extra weight for additional stability or to attach a carrying strap; and an Easy Link socket, which is a female threaded socket in which to mount optional accessories, such as lighting accessories.

I use this tripod to hold a 5d Mark III and some heavy lenses. It has been quiet sturdy and its not too heavy to carry around.

Only had it for a short period of time, but quickly noticed how solid this setup is. The leg claps are better than any other tripod I had. The quick release clips in. Not screwing around (no pun intended).

The product justifies the cost. I wanted something I can trust having an expensive cam/lens setup sitting on top without worries.

Very versatile tripod. Not too heavy and feature rich. I couldn't justify another $ + for a carbon fiber one and I am not disappointed with my choice.

This stand is easy to use right out of the box. Rough estimate your height, and then easily make smaller adjustments as needed. The levels are helpful and easy to read.

Solid and nice. I wish I had a couple of more like it! They are a little pricy though.

Being a nature and wildlife photographer, I wanted something that was light weight and easy to use. I also had a budet to stick to and the carbon fibre model was out of my price range. For years I had been using (and replacing almost annually) what ever was the cheapest tripod at @ or @. This time I decided to get a pro level tripod and Manfrotto delivered the goods!Even though its aluminum, it comes in at about 4lbs, but when shoot with my Tamron 150-600mm lens attached to it, I feel secure knowing that the tripod will hold my gear. The horizontal column feature is a fantastic addition, is super easy to use and comes in handy when trying to get a macro shot that would usually have to be hand held and holds the gear securly enough to all but eliminate any shutter shake.Even set up with the long lens, the tripod is rock solid and doesnt have any of the shake that the big box store versions had.
