The black RS800i 8" Coaxial Open-Ceiling Speaker from SoundTube Entertainment is a two-way ported speaker with an open-ceiling enclosure design that delivers effective low-end response (from 58 Hz to 22 kHz @ -10 dB). The BroadBeam technology in this speaker incorporates a high-frequency waveguide mated to a 1" convex titanium tweeter. The BroadBeam high-frequency waveguide delivers a consistent dispersion pattern across the operating bandwidth that offers optimum edge-to-edge coverage and reduced power needs.

The RS800i Speaker incorporates a low-profile grille, motor-board, and a six-position tap switch with transformer bypass position. It features a SpeedClamp self-locking cable grip for fast, easy, and secure installation. Designed for indoor and outdoor background to foreground SPL applications, the RS800i Speaker includes a single-point mounting system for rapid open-ceiling installations. The broad dispersion pattern of 105° and high sensitivity of 89.5 dB 1W/1m makes this speaker suitable for big box stores, fitness centers, sports bars, multi-purpose rooms, places of worship, airports, theme parks, ballrooms, convention centers, casinos, and other open-ceiling applications.

A: According to Page 03 & 04 in the Installation Manual for the JBL CONTROL 18C/T, it comes with a C-Bracket that is compatible with most ceiling material. A tile rail can be used with tiled ceilings. There is also the JBL MTC-47MR Mud-Ring Bracket, available separately as BH #JBMTC47MR that can be used in the plaster for new ceiling constructions. I purchased the Sonos Beam for the play room at our lake house. The room had been pre wired for front and rear speakers but decided to go this route which was obviously significantly cheaper with NO labor costs. Did not disappoint at all- accomplishes the sound we were looking for at all points in the room! 5

I was looking for a sound bar my wife and I could listen to without having to have subtitles on to understand what everyone was saying. I purchased the Sonos Beam 2 after careful research and advise from the team at B&H. The sound was amazing but missing a little when we were listening to music. I called to bother them one more time. They recommended the Sonos gen 3 sub woofer to enhance the sound. WOW what an amazing system I have now. Both sound quality while watching TV and listening to music. We love our new Sonos system and the team at B&H. 5

I can't express how much I am enjoying the Beam since we purchased it. It is replacing a traditional surround sound system and I feel like nothing is lost in going to the much smaller/compact Beam. It sounds great and has a surprising amount of punch for such a small item. 5

Setup and integration into existing setup was simple. This is my second sound bar but this sound experience is a unlike anything I've experienced with anything encoded with 5.1 or atmos. I now need the Sonos sub to round out the collection. 5

We were never happy with our Samsung sound bar. Voices were drowned out by the background noise. This Sonos Beam is like day and night. Voices are clear and the sound from TV programs and movies are great. We don't have a large media room so this was a perfect addition. 5

I wanted to simplify my audio setup in my family room. I had a Denon 5.1 AV Receiver setup in 3.1 mode paired with Energy (Klipsch sub-brand) Take Classic 5.1 speakers. This setup sounded great, but it was messy with the amount of cables needed and the power remote button sequence needed to turn the system on/off since the Denon AVR was missing ARC and CEC support. So, I figured a good soundbar would solve both my issues, but I feared it wouldn't sound as good. However, the Sonos Beam Gen 2 exceeded my expectations on sound. Even though I don't have a dedicated sub anymore the Beam produces good bass especially for its size for TV, movie, and music listening. Dialog is very clear as well. The Beam also solved the messy cabling and remote issues. Now to turn on my TV, Chromecast with Google TV, and the Beam soundbar all it takes is a single press of the power button on the Chromecast remote. I am really enjoying the new setup. 5

When I mounted my 55 inch TV on a tilt&swivel wall mount, I mounted the Sonos Beam with it. Whether the TV is pushed back to the wall or pulled out and swiveled, the sound is strong, spacious, and clear. Dialog is easy to follow and the bass is surprisingly deep - I don't know that we'll ever need a subwoofer. This is a keeper! 5
