Q: 3. Does this work with the Sony A7Riii?

A: You can use a UHS-I or UHS-II card in either slot or the A7R3 Sony camera. However, for the best performance, it is recommended to use the best quality cards possible. Slot 1 is UHS-II, but is backwards capable to use UHS-I. Slot 2 is UHS-I, but will still write to a UHS-II card. Consider using UHS-II cards in both slots if you are writing to both cards, and are collecting data from both sources. With the proper card reader, higher transfer speeds are significantly faster.

I upgraded from a 170MB/s card and definitely noticed faster buffer clears with my Canon R5 doing high-speed bursts which was a big part of why I wanted to upgrade to this card.

Although not the fault of the card I was dismayed to see my laptop card-reader run at the same speed when downloading the files after a shoot. I imagine there's some sort of USB 3.2 reader that's fast enough to take advantage of this card but it hardly seems worth the extra bother to me.

I chose.B&H when I needed to replace the memory card I'd been using for almost 10 years because I knew it would be an easy and efficient online purchase. Two days later the new card arrived and I was back in business.

I use this in the second card slot of my D500 to record JPEGS and it has no problem keeping up with continuous high frame rate shooting. I have trusted the SanDisk name for many years and the Extreme PRO media is my choice. Never had a failure...
