Q: 1. Can the Go pro mount be removed so you can use it to mount other brand cameras using the base screw? Thanks!

A: Yes. If you remove the blue piece, which is also sold separately as B&H # FOQRMOUNTBL, then you'll find a standard 1/4 -20 thread. Unlike the Manfrotto Nano Clamp it's nicely padded where it clamps onto your handlebar. One word of caution, if this is for a bicycle and if you're at all concerned about the weight of your bike then this is NOT the mount for you. It is surprisingly heavy, but seems very durable and well-made.

A: No, those holes are not able to take rods. This is meant to be an adapter from shoulder/VCT plate to a 15mm baseplate. Please see the other images on this items B&H page.

A: The tension of the tilt of the Tilta Accessory Mounting Bracket (1/4"-20 to NATO) can be adjusted via the side knob to fine tune the resistance on the tilt. The pan can be similarly adjusted via an Allen key.

A: Yes, the top is a short ARRI dove tail and is compatible with baseplates that take ARRI standard dovetails.

A: The shoulder pad is not removeable.

A: Yes, BUT I found it to fit a little snug if you're using the frame to mount your gopro. When I used the frame, it squeezed it a little too much to the point that the button pass-throughs did not function properly. Would be the same with either the gopro 3/3+, most likely. But if you're using one of the plastic enclosure housings, should be fine for any gopro.

A: This mounting bracket does provide multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads that can be used to connect a shoulder strap with those sized attachments.
