Q: 1. I used this film with Nikon FM-10 and Sekonic L-308X-U on a daylight, i sat my light meter to 400 ISO, am following the light meter readings and i still getting under exposed images, what u think is my problem. btw sometimes i push my film but i still not satisfied with the results. (**note** camera is in good condition)

A: As mentioned in the 120 version: I've shot this film twice, once at 800 with no push, and second time at 1600 and pushed 2 stops. The second time around I had better results with contrast and the look I was going for. It's a bit trial and error, but I feel 400 is too low. Try shooting at 500 in daylight if you use with a 85 filter as per CineStill, but honesty I think this is better suited at 800 or 1600 ISO.

Q: 2. When does the film expire?

A: While we're unable to check the exact expiration date of this film, it would generally be within 6 months to one year from now.

Q: 3. Is there anyway to develop films at home nowadays ? Scan the results directly through a small film scanner or something? Or it has to be developed by professional lap

A: You can do it self. C-41 1 liter developer kit $25-$30. you can do up to 7 rolls 35mm/36exp. film. Just add 30 sec for each roll after 4th roll.

Q: 4. Does this fil work with any traditional film camera

A: Yes. Works well with any traditional 35mm camera.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with the kodak color plus 100 ?

A: The Kodak ColorPlus 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is very much like the ColorPlus 100 film. It is one stop better in low light at 200 vs 100 iso.

Q: 6. I'm planning to visit the grand canyon which film will be better portra 400 or 800?

A: if any of the two: portra 400. You will need dynamic range in Grand Canyon , which the 400 is better and 800 is to fast anyway. I would use Ektar 100 there.

Q: 7. If I used this as film in a camera (not for duplication purposes), can I develop it the same as any other BW film?

A: Wolfen DP31 Black and White Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) cannot be developed like any other B&W film. Wolfen DP31 is a direct positive film. It is processed in D-94A/R-10 B&W Reversal chemistry.

Q: 8. This Portra-800 135-36 Pro Color Print Film is for 35mm cameras - correct?

A: Yes it is 35mm color print film.

Q: 9. I'm looking to shoot this film for a concert would you recommend this for lowlight situations?

A: Honestly no. P800 is very light hungry. I would try P400 rated at 1250 then push 2 in development.

Q: 10. Is this priced as one roll or 3 rolls?

A: Kodak ColorPlus 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is one (1) roll of film.

I have used this a couple of times now when I wanted to shoot using available light, either indoors, or outdoors in a heavily forested area. Both times I have pushed one stop, exposing at ISO 1600, very happy with the results!

Stock arrived quickly and packaged well. Actual film is years away from expiration.

Portra 800 will always be Portra 800. Used well, and it's quality is legendary.

Still the best ISO 800 film around, in my view. The tones are unmatched and the film is pretty flexible for pushing and overexposing (though slightly less so than Portra 400).

I love this film stock - it's flat and clean, perfect to get the look I want out of it once I am in the editing stage. Also one of the only 800 ISO color films available, so that's a big plus for me.

This along with Portra 400 are my two favorite color films. I use Portra 800 at both 400 and 800 without problems. It has beautiful colors contrast.

Amazing and true tones indeed, as people say. If only film was more affordable these days, other than that Portra 800 gave me great results!
