Q: 2. AS of today 6/10/22 can this device do 4x UHD 60fps without dropping massive frames? Does the SPF+ module work and does the HDMI output work. Is there sound? The is device could not do any of that as of 2020 but curious if the firmware finally delivered what was promised?

Q: 3. Does this device have HDCP support?

A: Unfortunately, by design, NDI does not support HDCP. Because our products utilize NDI, they do not recognize HDCP. This is not a BirdDog limitation, but rather something inherent to the NDI protocol itself, so it is not supported.

Q: 4. Can I receive a ProPresenter NDI feed to one of these and then HDMI out of the Birddog to a switcher? Or does it require a Birddog encoder also?

A: Yes, the BirdDog Flex 4K Out Full NDI Decoder accepts NDI sources, like those from software such as ProPresenter.

Q: 5. Can I use this as an NDI Source in OBS or Xsplit Broadcaster? Do I need the transmitter to be on the same network as the receiving device?

A: Yes, an NDI workflow is compatiable with X-Split and OBS. The transmitter does need to be on the same network, it's integral to how NDI functions. Q: 10. can I use 2 of these to: 1) Turn SDI to NDI, TX across my network. 2.) use 2nd box to decode the NDI back to an SDI signal

A: The 4K HDMI unit is just an HDMI Encoder or Decoder. You will need a 4K SDI unit to encode SDI into NDI. Depending on how you want the signal to come out, you will need either an SDI or HDMI unit.
