PVC Pipes are known to flex and break therefore you'd have to be extremely cautious about how and where you apply your supports. In addition to that, the heavier the payload the more cautious you have to be about how and where the supports are located. It is safest to use metal tracks if available at that distance.

A: This tripod is really well made. I checked on the box and yes, it is made in China. But not to worry, it doesnt have the feel of a cheap tripod. I always wanted to have a Tiltall. Now that I have one, I am very happy with it. I have four other great tripods and this one is the nicest, it is a real classic. I do not know how it compares to the original one, but it is a great tripod and worth the price tag. It is so nice that it is almost a collector item.
