Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this lens be okay to use for portraits on a Sony A-6000?

A: I would say it would depend on how close you are to your subject and the type of portraiture you are attempting to capture with the lens. While the Zeiss Touit 32mm f/1.8 Lens is a good lens, due to the lens' focal length, the lens may slightly distort the proportions of the face if used too close to your subject while trying to capture a head-and-shoulders portrait. However, the lens would be fine for candid images or portraits showing some of the environment. Due to the 1.5x crop of the APS-C sensor used in the Sony Alpha A6000 Mirrorless Digital Camera, I would recommend a lens that has a focal length between 50mm - 135mm for the optimum portrait focal length range on the Sony A6000.

Q: 2. Is it possible to mount a ring light on the front of lens? I assume it would require a step-up ring,

A: Unfortunately, it is not possible to mount a ringlight to the TTArtisans AF 32mm f/2.8 Lens for Nikon Z.

Q: 3. Can I use a M-mount SP3 Prime on a Leica M mount camera without issue?

A: The Cooke M Mount for SP3 Primes is designed so that M mount cameras can use SP3 primes without issue.

Q: 4. Does this lens have the new firmware update?

A: Yes, see OVERVIEW above. I quote: This lens has been updated with Version 02 firmware and supports the use of phase-detection AF and Fast Hybrid autofocus systems on Sony E-mount cameras.

Q: 5. Does the lens hood come off?

A: The hood on the TTArtisan AF 32mm f/2.8 Lens for Nikon Z doesn't come off.

Q: 6. This lens is full frame?

A: No, it is not. However it works on full frame camera as a cropped lens.

Q: 7. Would this fit on a Fujfilm XH2S? Would it need an adapter?

A: The Cooke 50mm T2.8 miniS4/i Cine Lens will need to be adapted to the Fujfilm XH2S with a PL to X-mount adapter.

Q: 8. I know this is x mount, but will this work with the xt3?

A: Yes. As the ZEISS Touit 32mm f/1.8 Lens (Fujifilm X-Mount), B&H # ZE3218TX, is designed for use with Fujifilm cameras that use the X-mount lens mount, and as the FUJIFILM X-T3 Mirrorless Digital Camera uses Fujifilm's X-mount lens mount, yes, the ZEISS Touit 32mm f/1.8 Lens (Fujifilm X-Mount) would be compatible for use with the FUJIFILM X-T3 Mirrorless Digital Camera.

Q: 9. My computer has only DVI and VGA outputs. Will I get the full benefit of this monitor?

A: Using your computer's VGA output to connect to the Samsung S4 24" 16:9 FreeSync IPS Monitor with Pop-Up Webcam will allow you to take full advantage of everything the monitor has to offer.

Q: 10. Hi, Does this lense work on the Sony NEX-5N?

A: Yes, this lens is compatible with the NEX-5N camera.

Conclusion first. If price was equal, i would choose Zeiss over the fuji 35mm.I owned the fuji for over 6 months and had just sold it before the Zeiss deal came up. The autofocus on the fuji was slower than i liked. After using Zeiss, i just liked the pictures better. I would say color and contrast are better and autofocus (with latest software for my X-e2) was faster. I'm not a fan of the electronic manual focus in general, didn't like fuji's and haven't given the Zeiss much work yet but it feels fine so far. Buying the Zeiss at the discounted price was a no-brainer. the only gotcha is the well documented loose aperture ring(you bump it, it moves) but Zeiss still wins for me.

32MM f/1.8 Zeiss Touit lens is the best standard lens for the Sony NEX-6 digital camera. The sharpness is unbeatable and yes compared to other Sony lens it is slighly slower and does not have the stabilization technology that is in the other Sony lens. Great investment.B&H was the best place to buy with very knowledgeable sales people.

I must say that ever since getting this lens, with the 12mm, they have become my most used lenses. While I understand the reasons, I just don't like Fujifilm's dedication to building zoom lenses especially with the electronic f/stop. The graceful build of the Touit 32mm is enhanced by its beautiful color, contrast, and bokeh capture abilities. I have nothing negative to say about this lens.

this lens has been around for about 10 years...but it is still made today..in fact i was on a waitlist because of its popularity...i bought this because it brought me back to the days of film...i love digital, but sometimes the look is too clinical...this lens gives the look i'm after...i have it on my fuji xt-5...plus it's light weight and super sharp...the complaint people had about the focus or aperture rubber rings being loose is unfounded now...i assume they fixed that after years of manufacturing...i also wanted the Zeiss pop and f1.8, it does not disappoint...

Every characteristic is very positive.. I has some of that Zeiss look, and rez, colors, contrast, etc., are excellent.

Touit 32mm Emount for SONY; used with NEX-7 The image quality of this lens is excellent--sharp from corner to corner and without the mottled sky mixture of blue and cyan that characterizes so many lenses, especially when images are converted to BW. After only four photo-forays it has become my first choice. It's not quite as perfect as the Zeiss 24 which has no issues at all, but the images are lively and crisp. Downside is AF that is in and out and a bit noisy--which SONY should fix with a firmware update, and some barreling.

All in an excellent lens when paired with my Nex 7. Only downside is that autofocus is a bit noisy and tends to hunt even when not shooting. It doesn't bother me but you can prevent it by toggling the focus button to manual when not shooting. I shoot mainly in dmf mode and the manual focusing was a breeze to use with this lens producing sharp images. Colors renditions were really nice and with the sharpness of the lens, i was able to get some really nice photos. Highly recommended if cost is not an issue.
