While I believe Arri makes a more durable light than Lowel, you shouldn't have bulb issues if A) Buy a quality bulb, B) Never touch the bulb and C) Handle your lights with more care than an ABC7 news crew.

The whole point with this boom, its small and compact, designed to fit in cramped spaces. When you start to carry more weight, invest in a Manfrotto Mega-boom. It needs a junior roller or similar, but its still fairly compact for for its abilities.
