The openings (let's call them pockets) where the tips of the rods slide in are at the crease points in the interior lip of the fabric. Here are the basic steps for anyone in your position and, at the end, a link to a video in which you can see the features to be described in these instructions: First, thread each of the four rods starting from the center of the fabric along the crease in the fabric all the way to the lip of the fabric in the front in each corner. Within the lip, the tip of each rod should fit into a tiny pocket in the seam there. (You'll just see that in the video link at the end of these instructions.)
