Designed for Sony cameras, the NW655-S TTL Speedlite Flash from Neewer features multiple modes of operation, including Sony ADI / P-TTL that simplifies metering with any compatible camera. The flash can also be used in manual mode for customizing your exposure. Other advanced options are included for instant firing or skipping a pre-flash. Offering recycle times of up to 2.6 seconds, the unit runs on four separately available AA batteries and includes a convenient storage bag and a mini stand. The NW655-S's zoom head is notably versatile, with a 20 to 200mm coverage range, it tilts up 90° and has 270° rotation so you can easily adjust your lighting in different directions.

The NW655-S speedlite provides 1/128 to 1/1, S1/S2 modes, and 1/8000 HSS. Flash durations are from 1/300 to 1/20,000 of a second. Besides that, exposure compensation can be adjusted from +3 to -3 EV in 1/3 step increments. Also, a red LED indicator conveniently tells you when the flash is ready.

Integrated 2.4 GHz Q wireless system is incorporated into the NW655-S for wireless triggering. Flexible to work as a transmitter or receiver, this flash has a wide range of 328' (with no obstacles) and support for 32 channels, three transmitter groups, and five receiving groups. It works with the separately available QPRO-S transmitter for maximum reliability and control.

Took me a while to decide. I researched other comparable units and I felt this had the best bang for your buck. I really wanted to stick with a Canon flash but for the money this does what I need. I own a T1i and it worked right out of the box with very little setup. It only displays E-TTL even if your camera ONLY works in E-TTL II. T1i only works in E-TTL II and this flash works great. If you want to trigger other flashes then buy a Canon or adapter. Tried with different Canon lenses/ light condition and got consistent results with and w/o my Lumiquest Softbox III. You can actually see the difference with the wide angle adapter. Controls are easy but cant go back you keep going forward. Not a big issues once you get to know this unit. It has a big lock down wheel that makes it easy to install/remove. A little heavy but expected. Recycle times are great. I can take 8-9 jpeg or raw pics in continuous shooting mode and the flash will keep up with the pace. I am quite happy with my purchase. 5

I do mostly wedding photography and have used Sunpak flashes with my Nikon cameras for over 20 years. I have used the PZ42X for three years now and it has performed perfectly. Since many weddings are on locations at lakeshores I needed a bright flash to balance the bright background. This flash does that beautifully and recycles fast enough to capture members of the wedding parties as they successively walk down the aisle. After thousands of photos I can recommend this flash to anyone. 5

I purchased this flash as an alternative to the Canon 430 EXII Speedlight which was three times more expensive. I have used this on a few jobs and it is an excellent alternative. The guide numbers are as true as any others, the flash head rotates just over 90 degrees vertically and 180 degrees horizontally so you can point the head in any direction necessary - even back into an umbrella. All of the zoom and E-TTL features work as the Canon do including the ability to dial in adjustments to exposure compensation on the camera itself, so if I access the camera quick menu to dial down the flash to -2/3, the flash gives me -2/3 fill flash. This is using the E-TTL however and if you want manual control, you still have to set the flash itself. Recycle times are good and the AF Assist works well enough although the Canon is slightly better. The flash did not come with a stand as the product image shows, but that's not a problem for me. The flash has a small slide-out diffuser that it pretty useless. I would have preferred a slot for a bounce card, but for what I paid I certainly can't complain. The only thing you really don't have with this that you get with the speedlight is the wireless capability, but for my uses, if I go wireless, I'll be purchasing a dedicated wireless system and not relying on speedlights. 5
