The white Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity and Locking 3.5mm Connector for Sony Transmitters is a subminiature lav microphone designed to deliver clear, full-bodied sound and reliable performance, making it a popular choice among industry professionals in broadcast, TV, theater, film, videography, and more.
Engineered to meet the standards of modern digital wireless microphone systems, the COS-11D is RF shielded to eliminate interference issues and ensure a pristine audio signal. The microphone capsule features a rectangular design that sits vertically, increasing the surface area and allowing this tiny mic to offer a rich, full sound that outperforms many larger models.
The mic's 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response rolls-off extreme low end and provides accurate, transparent audio reproduction with a small presence boost in the 6 kHz area for crisp, intelligible speech. With a forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound in a 360° pattern, levels stay consistent even when the subject turns away from the mic.
A water-resistant mesh screen protects against humidity, perspiration, makeup, bad weather, and other potential on-location issues, while the durable cable is also moisture-resistant and built to stay soft and pliable, even after extended use. This version of the COS-11D terminates in a locking 3.5mm connector and is wired for use with Sony transmitters. Accessories are available separately and are not included with this configuration of the microphone.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can the Sanken Cos 11d be plugged directly into a camera, specifically the Panasonic G85? If not, what is a high end lav mic you would recommend that could be used like this?
A: The Sanken Cos 11D comes in a variety ends. If your's ends in a 1/8 TRS then it will fit into your camera. I plugged mine into a Nikon D610 and it worked fine. I was surprised, because I thought it would require phantom power. Maybe the Nikon supplies that. I even tried using a 1/8 TRS 10 foot extension cable with a barrel connector to allow for normal distance of interviewing someone. It still worked.
Q: 2. It's fit My Sony UWP-D11 Transmitter(UTX-B03) ?Thanks,Kelvin
A: Hi Kevin, I work with plus24 who is Sanken's North America Distributor. This part number will fit your Sony UWP-D11 transmitter (UTX-BO3). We do not use a Sony branded connector, but our plug fits and the locking ring fits as well.
Q: 3. I read some posts about unstable connection with Sennh EW100. I want to use it with Sennheiser EW100G3 system. Everyone have problems with EW100 or it were just defective?
A: The Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector should work well with Sennheiser transmitter products featuring a 3.5mm locking input connection. We are not aware of any common issues in this scenario and would suspect that perhaps the specific lavalier cable or transmitter input in the described scenario may have become intermittent with use over time.
Q: 4. I'm confused about power requirements. Says AA or 12 to 52V. Obviously not phantom powered since it's unbalanced. Apparently works with Sennheiser body packs. Does this mic work with typical low voltage electret power from recorders?
A: It is not designed to work with plug-in power which is typically 1-3 volts.
Q: 5. is this compatible with sennheiser sk100 transmitter ew 100 g3?
A: Hi, this listing is correct if you need a white COS11 wired for Sennheiser Evolution transmitters.
Q: 6. Will this work with a Sennheiser G3 receiver/transmitter set?
A: Yes. This mic will work with the Sennheisser G3.
Q: 7. Does this work and lock with the Tascam DR-10L?
A: The Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector is not advised for use with the Tascam DR-10L, as it requires 3V of plugin power at a minimum and the DR-10L can only provide 2V.
Q: 8. Will these work for the Zoom F2?
A: Yes, this Sanken COS-11D with the locking 1/8" (3.5mm) connector for Sennheiser transmitters (B&H # SAC11WNSETRB) will work when connected to the mic input on the Zoom F2.
Q: 9. Why isn't this available with a microdot connector? I have both a Sony wireless system and a Shure.
A: The Sanken COS-11D lavalier microphone is not offered with a microdot connector because such a version is not made by Sanken.
Q: 10. Is there any known compatibility issue with the ZOOM H4N?
