The black Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity and 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector is a subminiature lav mic designed to deliver clear, full-bodied sound and reliable performance, making it a popular choice among industry professionals in broadcast, TV, theater, film, videography, and more.
Engineered to meet the standards of modern digital wireless microphone systems, the COS-11D is RF shielded to eliminate interference issues and ensure a pristine audio signal. The microphone capsule features a rectangular design that sits vertically, increasing the surface area and allowing this little mic to offer a rich, full sound that outperforms many larger models.
The mic's 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response rolls off extreme low end and provides accurate, transparent audio reproduction with a small presence boost in the 6 kHz area for crisp, intelligible speech. With a forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound in a 360° pattern, levels stay consistent—even when the subject turns away from the mic.
A water-resistant mesh screen protects against humidity, perspiration, makeup, bad weather, and other potential on-location issues, while the durable cable is also moisture resistant and built to stay soft and pliable, even after extended use. This version of the COS-11D terminates in a locking 3.5mm connector and is wired for use with Sennheiser transmitters. Accessories are available separately and are not included with this configuration of the microphone.

Q: 4. Is there an option to connect it to a XLR input camcorder? Also will it work with my phone's 3.5mm headphone port?
A: A Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter, BH #ROVXLR, will allow you to plug this mic into a camera with XLR input, which would be able to provide 48 volt phantom power to the mic. To connect this to a smartphone, you would adapt the end to TRRS with a Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRRS Male Adapter Cable for Smartphones, BH #ROSC4. The smartphone will power the mic in this case.
Q: 5. Is this compatible with UM200c transmitter?

Q: 6. I'm confused about power requirements. Says AA or 12 to 52V. Obviously not phantom powered since it's unbalanced. Apparently works with Sennheiser body packs. Does this mic work with typical low voltage electret power from recorders?
A: It is not designed to work with plug-in power which is typically 1-3 volts.
Q: 7. Have TASCAM DR-10 -- Will this work and what is the name of the locking connector I need?
A: This Sanken COS-11D microphone comes with a 1/8 TRS locking connector (it screws onto the wireless transmitter so it stays secure). It is advertised for the Sennheiser G3 transmitters but looking at the Tascam DR-10 it appears to have the same 1/8 TRS plug, so it should work fine.
Q: 8. I found this mic at the video you guys made for Tascam DR-10L Digital Audio Recorder. This unit operates with aaa battery 1.5V However this mic requires 3 to 10V???
A: This is ultimately a question for Tascam. You need to know the voltage provided by the DR-L10. Do not assume it to be the same as the supply voltage. It is true that the COS-11 BP (Belt pack) runs on single AA, but the voltage supplied to the mic is actually multiplied within the belt pack.
Q: 9. Is this wired for Servo Bias or Universal?
A: Just kidding. I can't read......
Q: 10. Will these work for the Zoom F2?
A: Yes, this Sanken COS-11D with the locking 1/8" (3.5mm) connector for Sennheiser transmitters (B&H # SAC11WNSETRB) will work when connected to the mic input on the Zoom F2.
