Originally pioneered by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois, the shimmer reverb effect is produced by layering a tail of reverb (pitched up an octave) on top of the original dry signal. This produces lush soundscapes that take on a life of their known, ranging from voluptuous chimes, to interstellar travel-like sounds that will evoke memories of Carl Sagan's Cosmos while you're playing.

Used extensively by U2's The Edge, the shimmer effect has been adopted by scores of shoegaze guitar players for conjuring up huge, vibrant soundscapes, bursting with sparkling clarity. Wherever there's a need for grandiose string sections of ethereal presence to add body and scope to a passage, Fluorescence fits the bill.

Fluorescence Shimmer Reverb is built to withstand the rigors of the road with a sturdy metal frame and high-quality components. True bypass circuitry keeps the integrity of your signal free from any tonal coloration, while top-mounted jacks make it easy to fit on any pedalboard.

With only four controls to master, Fluorescence Shimmer Reverb makes it easy to fine-tune your ethereal resonances in great depth. A Reverb knob adjusts the amount of tail on your dry signal for short or long resonances.

The Mix knob lets you adjust the balance between the reverb tail and your guitar sound, while the Tone knob sets the amount of sparkle that’s added to the reverb. Lastly, the Shimmer knob rolls in the perfect amount of sparkling, angelic octave tones to round out its thick and ethereal ambience.

The Fluorescence Shimmer Reverb can be powered from either a 9V battery (included) or a standard 9 VDC power supply (not included). This ensures you always have a power option, whether a power supply or outlet is within reach or not.

This teleconverter is AMAZING. I'm getting great extension of my 100-400 and 600PF with little to no degradation of image quality. I hated the F-mount TC I had, but this is a dream.

The 100-400mm with the 1.4 teleconverter performs very well in terms of the optical & AF performance.  I like its compact size. Attaching it to the 100-400mm lens extends the length only a little which makes it easier to travel with than the 180-600mm. The combo will fit into my Lowepro Protactic 350AW backpack, and the 350AW will fit under the seat on a plane if I can’t get space in the overhead luggage compartment.

The included lens wrap/pouch could be better if it’s proper lens case so it could be protected while carried in my pocket.

The Nikon Z TC-1.4 is a great improvement over the prior F mount TC's. I have seen no degradation of IQ when used with the 100-400mm S, or the 600mm lens.

Works great with Z 100-400 for that extra reach in a still small(ish) package. Very high quality, no loss of IQ.

Purchased for use with my Nikon Z 180-600mm lens to increase maximum focal distance to 840mm. Sharpness is good corner to corner! B&H Photo is great to work with and their shipping is very fast.

I’ve used the tele 1.4 extensively with the 100-400. Birds in flight, etc. works great, no loss in sharpness. By the way, I also have the tele 2.0 which is also fabulous. Some reviews have suggested it’s not as sharp as the 1.4 but I sure haven’t seen it.

I thought it would be a good idea to have this for my Z 600mm f6.3 S lens until I used it and forgot that I lost a stop. The lens went to f8. :(
That's ok because I'll eventually get another Z lens that can use this teleconverter. overall, it's small and easy to travel with
