If you need a 12x12' grid, I would recommend either the Sunbounce Sun-Scrim Butterfly Super Saver Starter Kit (12x12'), B&H # SUSS12SSSK, or the FotodioX Pro Studio Solutions Giant Sun Scrim Collapsible Frame Diffusion Kit with Bag (12x12'), B&H # FOSSK3.63.6, for your usage needs.

Q: 8. Does the shoulder strap still (April 2020) have rubber webbing as earlier Domke bags?

A: The shoulder strap on the Domke F-2 Original Shoulder Bag does have rubber webbing

Q: 9. Carry Handle? Why would then not put the same FX handle on top. I have concern about the carry handle because I don't always use a shoulder strap bu have not seen ANY photos of the carry handle for this bag, even on the Tiffin site. Must not be very proud of their design.

A: This bag, a classic for over 40 years, never had a handle on top.

Q: 10. Will this bag accommodate a 6x7 system?

A: I used it for my Pentax 67 system. It would accommodate a body and two or three lenses. The dividers were too small to hold four of those large lenses, but leaving at least one space free added some flexibility. There was plenty of room in the other pockets for film, filters, and other small accessories. I did not use a flash.

This is my fourth Domke bag. I started off with the F-2 and came back when I purchased a Nikon D700. Great bag that keeps everything organized and at your finger tips. I would definitely recommend this bag to any photographer.

I went from a large backpack style camera bag to the Domke F-2 Shooters Bag and could not be happier. It fits all the gear I need in a smaller compact bag. The style does not scream camera bag to would be thieves.

This is a wonderfully sturdy bag with loads of room. It's very well constructed and though I haven't had it long enough to say it will last forever, I suspect that it will. The dimensions are such that long and/or large items - big fisheye lens, prosumer video camera - will fit along with all the smaller stuff. Exterior pockets are of a nice size, though it can be a bit difficult to get small items out of the long and narrow front pockets. The bag drapes nicely and conforms to however much or little you have in it. The amount of padding is a great compromise between a padded hardcase and a simple duffel bag - your valuable optics and electronics will be well-protected if you exercise reasonable care in handling your bag.

This is an excellent, old style bag. I managed to comfortably fit a Nikon D3s with 24-70/f2.8 mounted and the 70-210/f2.8 in the bag, and still had room for the SB-900 speedlite. Nice bag!

I've wanted a Domke F-2 bag for quite a while, but have been making do with other bags and backpacks, but recently I finally bought one. It has definitely lived up to my expectations, allowing me to pack everything I need and easily get to it when needed. Rugged with good cushioning for lenses. One downside, when I want to take along my 200-500 zoom I need to do a redesign of the interior and leave one or 2 other lenses out. Other than that, it can hold so much gear that you might be tempted to put too much in there risking shoulder fatigue. Get the divider and shoulder pad, especially if you carry lots of lenses. A minor annoyance is having to buckle/unbuckle two clasps to get access, but two clasps do provide better security, so I can live with it.

This bag is very comfortable, even fully loaded. And, it holds a lot more gear than you would think. The ruggedwear look is very nice, however I have not tested it's water resistance. Be careful with the metal clasps when opening/closing the bag. If you store a camera lens-down, the clips can scratch the LCD camera display.

I'm new to photography so you can imagine how overwhelmed I was with accessories to best compliment my Nikon D90 purchase. I had brought a couple Lowepro bags to store all my photography equipment when traveling. I ended up returning most of them because they just weren't practical. I had backpacks that were too big and shoulder bags that were too bulky. So, when someone on a photography discussion forum brought up Domke and its history of being a staple of photojournalists for almost 30 years I decided to purchase the F-2 shoulder bag. I was a bit concerned about its size. I needed to fit a Nikon D90 with 18-55mm lens attached as well as a 70-300 telephoto lens, Sony Camcorder, speedlight and diffuser and assorted batteries. My original choice was the Domke F-6 (A little bit bigger bag), but in the end I was happy with the decision I made. The F-2, as small as it may seem, fit all my equipment securely inside. In addition, I was able to throw a Rocket blower in one of the pockets, some small batteries and SDHC cards and still have room for goodies in the side pockets. The only two downsides is that the bag gets very heavy on the shoulders once filled. I am going to eventually purchase the padding for the shoulder strap as I hear it helps immensely. Also, as everyone else has noted, there could have been more velcro across the front. The small strip just doesn't really cut it. ...and actually, a third downside. It's not a well padded bag. However, I did cover a crowded trade show recently and had no worries that I wasn't keeping my gear properly protected. The downsides outweigh the positives. This is one sharp looking bag which makes you look more fashionable than someone lugging around photography equipment. I would not hesitate to recommend making this bag your first choice in carrying your equipment.

Flexible and comfortable to carry and store large amount of gear. The top flap easily keeps out the elements. Rubber embedded in the shoulder strap prevents slipping. This is my 3rd Domke bag of different sizes. I use the 802 for my daily briefcase.

I've purchased far too many camera bags in the past looking for what I wolld consider to be the perfect one. Well, I finally made the right decision. The F-2 Ruggedwear Shooters Bag hold my Canon 50D, 100-400L, 25-105L series plus just about everthing else I need with me in one great looking bag. Perfect. Now if I coulds just get my money back for all the other bags I have.

I've used many different bags from tamrac, lowepro, petrol, crumpler. This is my favorite. I find it to have plenty of protection for a PJ bag. I'm able to fit 2 camera bodies, 12-24mm, 50mm, 24mm, 35mm, 105mm, 18-105mm, a speedlight and many other small accessories with no problem.
