Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will you bring back the bundle with the Tru-Horizon? It seemed like the ideal pair.

A: We are not aware of any plans by Glidecam to bring back the Tru-Horizon product.

Q: 2. I use arca swiss for my camera. Can you recommend a good adaptor?

A: The ProMediaGear PM501 Manfrotto-Type Quick Release Plate with Arca-Type Clamp (BH #PRPM501 MFR #PM501) can slot into Manfrotto 501PL, RC3, RC5, and NG heads like this stabilizer’s, while accepting Arca-style plates/cameras on the top. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1354246-REG/promediagear_pm501_manfrotto_type_quick_release.html

Q: 3. can i balance blackmagic pocket cinema camera 6k on this?

A: Yes you can. This system has a load capacity between 2 to 12 pounds. It is a great choice for the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K.

Q: 4. How heavy is it, and how quickly would I get tired from holding it up?

A: It's not very heavy vs the other ones. I think this one (even though it's price) is one of the lighter glidecams. It has very nice fine tune adjustments and can be flipped upside down. But to be honest, I quickly realized that a cheaper Laing stabilizer on Amazon for $280 is exactly the same thing and just as amazing if not better because I'm saving a 3rd of my money. It literally does the same exact thing. I say check it out and see if it interests you, but if you must have the glidecam brand then this is the best and I would recommend getting an arm brace or start lifting weights lol ... It can feel somewhat heavy after 15-20 mins.

Q: 5. this glidecam will work with FLYCAM Galaxy Arm and Vest Stabilizer? BH #FLGLXYAV MFR #GLXY-AV

A: Yes it would be compatible. The Glidecam Devin Graham sled has a Post size of 21.5mm and the Flycam arm can work with up to 22mm post sizes.

Q: 6. what's the best vest system for this glider? Also, is this better than a brushless gimbal?

A: We would suggest this vest: Glidecam Smooth Shooter Support System B&H # GLSS These two items are designed for each other. As far as which is better, it depends on the shot which is the better tool to use. Glidecam is more affordable, more organic, more compact, less complicated and can do shots the other can't. A gimbal is more intuitive to use, more expensive, more complex and can do shots the other can't.

Q: 7. ?Can you mount an IPAD pro on this Glidecam

A: The IPad Pro is not heavy enough to meet the minimum weight capacity of this gimbal (minimum payload is 2 lbs). You will need to add additional accessories (such as a filming case, tripod mount, lights, microphones, etc) to make the IPad heavy enough to work on this gimbal.

Q: 8. Does the Glidecam support the Panasonic AG-AC160?

A: YES, YOU CAN USE IT!

Q: 9. What diameter of sled can the docking bracket accept?

A: The Glidecam Devin Graham Signature Series Docking Bracket is designed to support ALL Glidecam Hand-Held Stabilizers, which are a 1.0” Central Post size.

Q: 10. Can you tell me what the duty charges would be for the Glidecam Devin Graham Signature Series Handheld Stabilizer shipping to Canada?

A: B&H does have an option to pre-pay for Customs Clearance on certain items, with this Stabilizer being one of them. However the fees vary depending on where you live in Canada. Feel free to email us at provideo@bhphoto.com so we can go over all of the fees with you.

This ring is solid, durable and does the job. You don't pay that much more compared to a cheap one but you get a massive improvement in quality. I would recommend this to others.
