PolyTerra PLA from Polymaker is a PLA-based 3D printing filament designed with a focus on being environmentally friendly. It's made to deliver high printing quality and speed while being easy to use and reliable. It's made with a material from Polymaker called Fully Bio Compound (FBC), which is a compound of PLA bioplastic and a bio-composite. Polymaker offers it as a cost effective and eco-friendly solution. Polymaker also emphasizes that PolyTerra PLA can easily be removed.
PolyTerra PLA filament is compatible with most of the printers available on the market. Examples include the Ultimaker, Flashforge, Snapmaker, LulzBot, Raise3D, Flsun, Artillery, Anycubic, Creality, and more. For best printing results, it's recommended to print PolyTerra PLA in temperatures between 374 to 446°F.
PolyTerra PLA can be printed at a wide range of speeds. Polymaker recommends speeds between 30 and 70mm/s, but they have successfully tested it on some printers at speeds up to 140mm/s.
If your printer has a direct-drive extruder, the recommended retraction distance is 1mm and the retraction speed is 20mm/s. If your printer has a Bowden extruder, the recommended retraction distance is 3mm and the retraction speed is 40mm/s.
PolyTerra PLA degrades under the specific conditions of industrial composting, namely, at certain temperatures and humidity with the presence of micro-organisms. The degrade rate will depend on the size and thickness of the printed part.
Due to Polymaker's heat treatment of the filament, PolyTerra PLA can withstand temperatures of 212°F. However, the printed PolyTerra PLA parts can only withstand temperatures up to 140°F because the crystallinity of the filament changes during the printing process. To glue PolyTerra PLA parts together, common glues used for PLA parts can be used. Polymaker suggests cyanoacrylate glue (superglue) as generally the best choice.
Is PolyTerra PLA food safe? Compliant with RoHS directives 2011/65/EU and (EU) 2015/863, and REACH regulation, PolyTerra PLA does not contain toxic or harmful substances. However, the printed PolyTerra PLA parts might have micro-cracks and holes which are invisible to the naked eye even though the prints look smooth. Bacteria are prone to grow in these micro-cracks and holes, so it is not recommended to use the printed parts in food contact applications.

Q: 1. How long is the tether? What is the weight limit? How is it attached to a horizontal belt?
A: The length of the tether is about 16 . The Strapshot has no listed weight limit because it is engineered to hold far more weight then you would ever carry. The Strapshot has a horizontal Velcro loop to attach it to your waist belt.
Q: 2. Where can I buy extra camera-attachment hardware? Thanks!
A: We offer the Cotton Carrier Universal Hubless Adapter Plate B&H # CO766NHP as a spare attachment for your camera. https://bhpho.to/324BTFC
Q: 3. Hi, will this harness holds & compatible with canon mirrorless EOS RP with 100mm 500mm lens?
A: Yes, the Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Harness-1 (Realtree Xtra Camo) is compatible with the Canon RP with the 100-500 lens attached.
Q: 4. Would both mirrorless and DSLR cameras work on this?
A: Yes, all mirrorless and DSLR units will work that offer a 1/4 tripod socket.
Q: 5. What is the total length of the harness when sized down at it's smallest adjustments? And the width of the shoulder area from the center points of the straps? I'm 5'2" 100lb lady, so I want to make sure it can fit my teenage size torso.
A: The waist can go down to 26 inches, the up and down section is 9.5 inches x 4.3 inches, should fit no problem.
Q: 6. how does it work with binoculars?
A: You would need this version for binoculars: https://bhpho.to/3LHRaV1
Q: 7. How can I hike with one camera but two lenses? (ie. I have a wide angle on my camera but want to bring a zoom lens as well).
A: There are two possible solutions. If your lens has a tripod mounting collar with / 20 mounting threads , you can buy a side strap (holster) for Cotton Carrier which is meant to carry a second camera (check B and H website for side holsters for Cotton Carrier) . The holster may attach to your belt rather than the cotton carrier. You can then attach and carry the lens to the holster which will carry the lens on one side of your waist. This will work but the problem with this arrangement is that the heavy lens will hang on the side causing the weight distribution to be non-uniform and therefore uncomfortable. Alternately you can carry the camera with the heavy lens on the chest and the light lens on the side holster. However, I have found a better solution. I had earlier bought an Ikan brand padded camera bag from B and H which is reasonably priced, is meant to be carried as a backpack and can carry upto 14 inch long equipment (Camera, lens or camera plus lens) . Beside the camera and the lens, it has room for other equipment such as ND filters, small monitors etc. So I carry one camera with lens on my chest in Cotton Carrier, one camera with lens and other equipment in my backpack. It has the great advantage that all the weight is on the shoulders and comfortably distributed and none on the side (which is not convenient). By attaching the right weight lens to the camera carried on the chest in Cotton Carrier and storing the rest in backpack, you can make the weight on chest and back somewhat equal and thus more comfortable. This is my suggested solution.
Q: 8. I use a 400mm L as my walk around lens. Is it better to use the lens mount in the holster so the camera and lens don't separate or is the camera mount enough?
A: When using the Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Harness-2 , it is good to start off mounting the camera to see if one comfortable that way. Then try the lens mount.
Q: 9. Will this work with a R5 with battery grip and L bracket?.
A: For any camera to fit this Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Harness-2, the Cotton Carrier Universal Hubless Adapter Plate, BH # CO766NHP is required. Whether it can work with your set up depends on the actual L-bracket being used, as not all have a 1/4" female thread at the bottom. https://bit.ly/3D9U153
Q: 10. I am going on a bike tour in Europe. Would this work while biking? It is a fairly easy pace. Using a Nikon Z-9 & 42-70 lens.
A: Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Harness-1 will work while biking and will be able to hold a Nikon Z9 with a Nikon 24-70 lens.
