Being new to Arca Swiss ball heads, I was a little taken back by the fact that I could not find quick release plates made by Arca Swiss! But these work great and made with the best of materials as I was able to crank down on it to lock it in without fear of stripping threads. I have worked with them for over a month now and have plenty of confidence that they will work well into the future. I also would like to add that I like the Arca Swiss quick release / locking a lot more than the ones I've used from other brands. I'm sold.

I wanted a smaller version of my other plate. This is perfect.

Use it on an Oben BB-O Ball Head. I was surpised to see it had a manual hand type bolt to place it on the camera which was a neat handy contrast to the one that came with the ball head that requires an allen wrench. Very strong and well machined.

Recently my friends and I decided to save some money (a relatively large amount) by building a camera shoulder mount on our own. We had built it out of PVC, weights, and thick padding. It was perfect by our standards. However, we were missing an actual mount for the camera we would be using (Canon 600D). We knew the standard screw size for cameras but we decided we would go ahead and purchase an item actually used for mounting cameras. The QR-10 Quick Release was ideal. It was small, incredibly durable, and the camera snugly fit on top of it. I am very impressed.

Not to much review except that it works well with my Oben head fine for my second body.

Perfectly machined - very well made. There is no substitute for an extra base plate. I have more than one camera, but I keep the extra quick release handy, unattached, for whenever I need to make the switch.

I just purchased a L-Bracket to use with my Oben Tripod and I need a second quick release plate for the L-Bracket. I had been using this product with my Oben Tripod attached directly to the bottom of the camera and it had a problem. The problem was the screw that attaches the quick release directly to my camera would sometime come loose. This problem seems to be resolved by installing a L-Bracket and a second quick release. It seems the problem was most likely cause by the the surface on the bottom of the camera being to slick. The L-Bracket has a cork surface that mounts agains the camera bottom. I have not had no problem withe attaching screw coming loose.

Leave one on each camera AND each 'heavy' lens. A reasonable price for convenience, durability and utility.
