The MP-285C Carbon Fiber Monopod from Leofoto is a five-section camera support with a maximum height of 60.2". The 0.9 lb monopod is constructed with a 10-layer carbon fiber weave and designed to hold up to 33.1 lb. Featuring a comfortable foam grip and wrist strap for a secure grip, this monopod is capable of supporting cameras with large telephoto lenses. The rubber foot prevents it from sliding on smooth surfaces, but is also removable and can be replaced with a separately available steel claw, spike, or other accessory to facilitate the best traction for any given terrain. When not in use, turn the ergonomic twist locks to collapse the support down to 17". The threaded mounting stud on the top of the monopod features a reversible 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw, making it universal for most cameras and lenses.

I purchased this monopod because of it's light weight and extended height capability. Being 6'4 tall, I can shoot with plenty of height without bending to look through the viewfinder. I am very impressed with the quality. 5

I'm telling you, for what they charge for these monopods they are well worth the money. They look great, the legs are super smooth sliding and do everything they say they'll do. If you are looking for a strong lightweight good looking pod, this is the one! 5

I've used monopods for years. But tend to leave them in the car as they are difficult to carry when not on the camera. Plus my Manfrotto mono is just too long when closed up and not long enough open. Plus it's heavy. So I went looking for lighter, shorter, taller and a better way to carry. I found the Oben CTM-2500. It met all my requirements and the belt holder is perfect. Now I have my monopod with me all the time!! 5

I was looking for a light weight carbon fiber that was easy to carry on my camera bag. The CTM 2500 met this requirement with flying colors. I was able to get excellent shots in a dim theater using a canon 70-200 f2.8 L even at 200mm. Could not be happier. 5

I bought this product to mount my 500mm lens with ball head. I own a golf cart that I use to explore the lakes and ponds around my home. This product is very light weight, strong and easily adjusts to height. It enables me to approach birds and wildlife w/o disturbing them. This purchase is one of the best phot gear purchases I have ever made. 5

Carried this for several days while on shore during a recent cruise. I love the belt clip which made it easy to carry and out of my way. I was able to use my existing Oben ball head from my travel tripod without any difficulties. Over all a great performer. 5

Got this tripod a few weeks ago. I wanted carbon fiber and twist release sections. Looked at the Gitzo, but already had an Oben table top tripod (also fantastic) so I gave this one a shot. It is perfect. light, sturdy, durable. I don't use a ball head with it, as I mount a 70-200 2.8 or 70-400 f4 on it directly for sports. If you want to save a few hundred dollars and get the same quality as Gitzo, try this monopod out. I am very pleased thus far. 5
