I've been a big fan of Sony cameras for 10 years but I found this Canon to be way better value and it takes better pictures. I'm still trying to get familiar with it but I took over 300 pictures on our family vacation and all the pictures turned out great. I didn't get one blurry picture!! The only thing I didn't like was the battery indicator showed a little less than a 1/2 charge and it didn't even last me 2 hours. Once fully charged, I was able to take over 200 pictures but had I know 1/2 charge wasn't enough, I would have charged it before leaving the hotel. Overall, very pleased!!

Bought this for an upcoming vacation and it took great pictures and easy to use. The photos are much clearer and brighter than my older Powershot A590. The recharable battery lasted about 4 days between charges. Completely satisified.

I love Canon point and shoots and this is their best one yet! It's easy to use, navigate, and has added bonus features. I love how you can delete or protect several photos at a time. This is a feature my last powershot did not have. I love everything down to the click sound it makes when you take a photo.

Good value, easy to use for everyday photography. Nice big view screen. Miss the viewfinder I had on my previous Canon camera. One thing I really like about Canon is the all in one charger. Some camera chargers have a power cable whereas Canon chargers have the plug built in which saves space when traveling.

I was worried since the PowerShot A3100 IS was refurbished, but impressed when it arrived in box and mint condition. Price was excellent & camera a very good quality.

This camera is my second camera, for when I do not want to carry the SLR equipment. It is surprisingly small, even for an IXUS, and fits easily in a pocket. I always have this camera with me, and take a lot of photos I otherwise wouldn't. This camera is significantly smaller than my old Canon PowerShot S80, and the image quality is better. There is no point in comparing this to an SLR, of course, and I really like that it is a compact camera that does not try to be anything more, as the Canon G10, etc do. This camera is tiny, well-built, easy to use and very responsive. It has a very short start-up time, and focus is achieved quickly. When pre-focused, there is practically no shutter lag. The image stabilizing, face detection, auto ISO, etc all help to get great photos - and they can all easily be deactivated also. Canons menu system, the button layout, etc is very thought through. The buttons have a distinct snappy feeling to them, and the metal body feels very solid. Excellent everyday camera, highly recommended.

This camera is one I bought for my son to use and get familiar with photography. I was impressed at the quality of the photos. I would highly recommend it as a great in-the-pocket camera when you don't want to lug the DSLR around.

Good camera, small, easy to use, great picture and low noise. Poor video quality in low light operation. Ive purchased waterproof case and its very suitable for underwater photography. Buy and be happy!

This camera is small, discrete, light and takes sharp photos. It does lack certain options like shooting in RAW or manual operations, but it does a great job as a point and shoot. The LCD is large and bright with easy to view controls. A great point and shoot and very handy to carry around.
