A: It comes with a battery charger. Simply remove the battery from the front of the A1 and place it on the charger. The Air remote does control the A1. When the A1 is off camera it performs like every other Profoto flash.

A: Yes you can. NP-W126S has a better heat dissipation than the one without the 'S'.

A: My experience has been the S battery recharged faster and at least seemed to take more shots. I bought 2 and use them exclusively now.Worst were the 3rd party batteries. They were terrible. NP-W126 were good but not as good as the S.

Q: 10. Will this A1 battery works on A10?

A: Yes, this will work in the A10. You will not get the faster recharge time and the longer battery life that the new battery offers. But it will definitely work.

This battery is a great value and is used as a spare for my new Profoto Nikon A1 for the Hasselblad X1D II. The flash came from Profoto directly as a demo. It was a screaming deal. The flash was marked as a demo but as near as I can tell it was never opened or use - brand new. Very happy with the flash and the battery which serves as a backup for my other my other Canon A1 flash as well. I really appreciate the way Profoto gear is so well integrated. Highly recommended! 5

Bought the older battery and it works great with the profoto a10. I wish I could tell which battery is which since the battery that comes with the a10 has a higher capacity, but since I don't really use the flash at full power, I didn't need extras of the newer battery. At this point, I've swapped batteries numerous times off our a10 units I don't know what battery is which and they perform equally well, 5

If your on the fence weather or not to get extra batteries...just get them. It’s a slightly steep in price but you are buying a $2300 light...don’t cheap out now. I have the two light kit and got two extra batteries. May not need all of them on one shoot, but the night before a shoot I forget to charge one that’s when it will save my butt. 5
