The Easy Lock baseplate provides the balance adjustment range associated with a sliding balance plate while combining the ease of a quick release, as you can pop the camera (on the Easy Lock plate) into the top of the fluid head without having to support the camera while lining up the plate with the head. Easy to pop in, it stays secure until you release it, and you maintain the sliding balance adjustments.

The mono-lock design allows you to lock and unlock the three sections of each leg using only one locking lever. The rotating lever provides a robust clamp mechanism that secures the legs and prevents them from slipping once locked. The single lever on each leg allows you to quickly lock the leg height without having to use two levers, making for a quicker workflow and sparing you from bending down to open a bottom leg lock.

The legs feature dual-spiked feet that provide solid purchase in soft surfaces when the legs are spread wide or extended to full height.

The rubber feet attach to the spiked feet for working on delicate or hard surfaces.

The Easy Lock camera plate features a guided sled with a locating pin, and supports both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera tie-down screws (included).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I bought this a while back. The pan movement is always jerky at the start of the pan. Why is that?

A: For help trouble shooting your product please email us directly at askbh@bhphoto.com.

Q: 2. I have purchased this product and only used it 4 times. It is almost an outstanding product except for couple issues which makes it useless for video. In your advertisement it says With variable fluid drag on both pan and tilt, you can adjust the fluid head to suit your shooting style or the needs of the shot. Untrue there is only variable fluid drag adjustment on tilt and not on pan. To make matters worse upon purchasing the tripod in February the fluid drag was notably less than tilt even when tilt is set at the lowest setting. I have not used the tripod in months and I just used it again in the summer heat of about 85 degrees F and there is only a slight amount of pan fluid drag compared to tilt fluid drag a number of times more. The difference is so extreme it is useless for video since it is so easy by error to pan it you I try to tilt it. When I use long lenses such as 400mm and 1250mm I use a rubber band on the pan arm but it is impossible to gently tilt without it panning. Using the pan lock as a brake does not work. I went back to using my 10 year old Velbon leaking PH-368 tripod head and tripod of which results in much better video. I contacted B&H and it was beyond exchange time and they said to email the E-Image company for warranty. I emailed them and never heard back and sending a product to China for warranty I won't do to lack of recourse if I never get it back. So now the question is do you have a drawing break down for the fluid head to see if I can disassemble it to increase the fluid drag? Another issue though more minor is the counter balance spring is not preset to place the sliding plate mount level but rather it measures angled up at about 20 degrees. This can be corrected by sliding the camera plate all they way forward except if the lens and camera combination is too light with the plate all the way forward it still tilts upward. A very minor issue is the spring loaded hook fell off though it does not matter since I never used it anyway.

A: It is most unfortunate that you have had this negative experience. This is of course not what we at B&H wish for our customers.B&H can only offer is return or exchange on items purchased within 30 days. After that, we must suggest that you contact the manufacturer for we do not have repair facilities. You might try contacting ikan for they also handle the E-Image line of tripods.Email: support@a href= http://ikancorp.com target= _blank ikancorp.com/a or call (713)272-8822.

Q: 3. Does it come with the handle for panning and tilting? I noticed that the handle is listed as an accessory and is not listed on the whats in the box portion.

A: Yes Shopper, it is included.

Q: 4. Will this hold a Movo GH700 Professional Gimbal Tripod Head with Arca-Swiss Quick-Release Plate?

A: It has a 3/8 screw for mounting, so I can't foresee any issues.

Q: 5. Would this hold a Varizoom Solo Jib carbon fiber (7 pounds) with a 5dmark 111 and a 24-105 f4l lense (both together weight around almost 4 pounds)? I guess even if it hold them I will not be able to use a counterweight balanco ?

A: In answer to the question, its somewhat less what the maximum weight capacity is in this case, and more about stability. Although the tripod kit will probably hold the load (based on the max limit), that is with a load applied at the tripod center (ie. its center of gravity). Using a job, the load will be applie to the extremeties (much like a see-saw) which could lead to an unstable situation. My advise is to use a much heavier-duty tripod for assurance, and be sure to use sand bags, or another stabilization method to make sure you do not loose control of the jib.

Q: 6. how much does this tripod weigh?

A: ok No problem 5.78 kilogram = 12.742 718 754 lb, lbs

Q: 7. is the middle spreader prone to breakage? or is it completely stable even at widest point?

A: We have not heard of any particular issues regarding breakage of the spreader. Stability would be another matter but no issues there that we know of either.

Q: 8. is it true that the legs of this tripod can hold up to 88 pounds?

A: The GA752 legs can actually, technically, support more than 88 pounds. 88 is just the recommended payload, and what the legs are designed to hold while maintaining the most functionality and safety. We used our former product management supervisor as a gauge, and have confirmed that these legs can hold a small Asian man who weighs between 100-120 pounds without issue.

Q: 9. Will it accept a Manfrotto quick release plate?

A: Yes, it will. E-Image heads manufactured after August 2015 are compatible with Manfrotto plates. Those made before then are not.

Q: 10. Does the tripod comes w/ a plate or do I have to buy that separately?

A: This tripod comes with a quick release plate.

If you are looking for a tripod with a smooth head and don't know which one to buy, trust me this is the right choice for you! The head is extra smooth for excellent camera movements. The legs can be opened very wide and the locking system for the camera is great. For a tripod this price, you don't need anything more expensive.

I was looking for a tripod that is sturdy, but easy to move and adjust, and I found it here! With one easy turn of only one knob, I get one leg to fully extend... So 3 knobs, 3 turns, and I get 3 fully extended legs, without having to bend over and mess with like 9 different knobs! I work really fast paced shoots, and the quicker I can get myself in position, the better, and now I have that advantage! Good flow too!!! The case is solid... Overall great investment, esp for the money... I think I got a deal!!!

Bought this on a deal of the day and it was a steal. The fluid head is very responsive and smooth. The legs are solid with easy to set up. I do live theater video work so I am constantly setting up a tripod in and around seats in the theater. These legs work great for that.

I purchased this tripod to use with filming our football team's practices and games. The last tripods we bought were shorter than I realized, so when I saw that the camera plate was at eye level for me (I'm about 6' tall), I was pleasantly blown away. The head is very smooth when it moves. Overall, a great purchase.

We use this tripod to shoot industrial videos with a teleprompter and it's solidly-built and smooth in operation.
