I'm running two of these in Raid 1 on a 2bay Synology NAS. So far so good. Hear a bit of clicking when they read/write, but they're not too noisy and seem to run cool. As I'm not really running applications off of the NAS I went with 5400 RPM drives over 7200 RPM. I figured they would run cooler and quieter. In this case I prefer reliability over speed. 5

Recently have been upsizing my drives in Synology ds920 . Was going from 4tb to 8tb for 4 slots. The first drives (2) I bought from B&H worked great. Purchased several other 8tb wd red Plus from other vendors 3 out of 4 were DOA. Decided that B&H offered equal or better pricing so I needed 1 more 8tb drive to complete the upsizing. Unfortunately WD seemed to be having quality issues with the 8tb drives & B&H didn' t have any available (again a Wd issue) so I went with the WD Red Plus 10Tb drive and it worked perfectly and allowed me to complete my mission. 5
