Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How long does it take to charge the battery?

A: Unfortunately, FotodioX states that they do not have an estimate on the amount of time it takes to fully charge the two (2) 2200mAH NP-F550 7.4V batteries included in the kit. The only battery information they have is a full charge will provide approximately one (1) hour of power when the light fixture is set at full output, but the battery charge time is not indicated. From an estimate of batteries of similar size, I would estimate it may take approximately 4 hours to charge the battery.

Q: 2. What is the maximum continuous operation with the default/included batteries (battery life at full power and energy consumption)?

A: You need to buy V MOUNT batteries, they are not included. I've run it for hours without battery dying, but have not tested full battery length

Q: 3. Has anyone used this for lighting a white backdrop? And if so would one light work?

A: This light is on the small side for lighting backdrops. You would get a better result with a larger light. Or a whole BUNCH of these lights -- feel free to purchase as many as you like!! // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 4. How bright is the light?

A: The photometric output of the FotodioX Pro LED-312DS Bi-Color LED Photo Video Light Kit is 665 lux at the 3200K setting and 765 lux at the 5600K setting.

Q: 5. I recently received 2 lighting kits. Is it use the supplied charger/ac adapter to power the light with ac while the batteries are still attached to the light? Thanks.

A: The AC adapter would be plugged in directly to the panel for power through an AC outlet, but it cannot charge the batteries at the same time.

Q: 6. Is the stand height adjustable?

A: The stand has a maximum height of 70" / 1.8 m but it can be lowered yes.

Q: 7. How bright in Watts is this light?

A: Awesome with these were around my whole career

Q: 8. Does this light ship with an AC electrical cord?

A: Yes, it comes with an AC power supply.

Q: 9. Am I able to set the color temperature by turning the knob? (it's missing on the picture but look is written in the product discription)

A: Yes you can change the color temperature by turning the knob

Q: 10. How many lights can I put on a 15 amp circuit? How many Amps per light?

A: Mark,For a 15 Amp circuit, you first need to multiply by the Volts. If we use 110, that gives us 1650 Watts for that circuit. However, most electricians recommend no more than 80% of capacity, so that leaves us with 1320 Watts. The LED500 runs on 30 Watts, so if we divide that into 1320 it tells us that you can run 44 of these lights on a typical 15 Amp circuit. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.
