A: I've not yet worked with this specific camera to be able to answer from experience. However, many cameras label the connection required as a LANC Connection. If you can find a way to determine whether it has a LANC Connection or not, that would truly answer this. Look at the 5th picture under the Sony NX5R on the B&H website....the LANC connection is the small black rubberized circular piece sitting close to the Sony emblem just behind the zoom lever. A: To get this device to connect to the A7s you would need 2 adapters. First an adapter to go from Lanc to A/V R and then one to go from A/V R to Multi Terminal. Even after connecting those 2 adapter I cannot confirm that all or any of the functions will work for you. The Sony RM-VPR1 is a cleaner solution that will not require any adapters.
