A: Nope. just slides in and designed for the newer 1500VA Ups models.

A: This is a proprietary APC battery for specific APC products only, and they do not provide specifications for the volts, amps, or amp hours. The only additional provided about the battery is that it is a maintenance-free sealed lead-acid battery with suspended electrolyte.

Q: 6. Is this cartridge compatible with APC XS 1500? Thanks!

A: Yes this is the right battery. But please note the following: The new battery pack's connection socket is different from the older XS 1500. You must remove the mounting bracket that comes with this new RBC (Replacement Battery Pack)124) and reuse the old mounting bracket that originally came with your old XS 1500 unit because it has the proper connector to plug into the old unit.

Q: 7. Can I use this as a direct replacement for rbc123? It seems only that I may get about 28.5% extra time/capacity as 9ah vs 7ah.

A: This is a direct fit for the unit and replaces RBC123 directly. Time remaining will look shorter than actual if the unit is designed for the lower capacity unit, but time is extended. I replaced the unit long after warranty expired so was not an issue for me.

Q: 8. Is this the correct replacement battery for an APC backup system, CS 350?

A: We purchased it for the CS 500 and it worked perfectly. Not sure about other models.

Q: 9. What is the nominal voltage output?

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The nominal voltage outage for the APCRBC105 is 96V.

The replacement battery pack arrived quickly and in the condition expected and restored the UPS to service. The only problem experienced was lack of a return shipping label in the original shipment. This was, however, quickly remedied. After I called customer service, I immedieately had a link to print one. 5

I have used APC Back-Ups products for about 15 years. They have been reliable and have protected my computers on several occasions. I like having the replaceable battery as I don't have to keep buying new Back-Ups units when the batteries finally are exhausted. I wouldn't even consider having a computer without a Back-Ups unit to protect it. 5

When I realized after a number of years that the battery in my UPS system no longer had any strength, I simply had to look at the box to find the serial no. of my system and go to the web site to order a replacement. The task was easily accomplished, the delivery was prompt and the actual battery replacement was not difficult at all so my UPS system was back to normal in no time. I would recommend this product to anyone. 5

An APC product is the only product I trust to protect my computer, sewing machines (which cost more than $10,000 each!) and other electronic devices from power surges. We get power outages a lot due to living in a neighborhood with lots of trees. It is called "The Liveable Forest" except when the wind blows down limbs and trees onto power lines. Since installing APC surge protectors, we have not lost one device. Prior to using APC, we lost many devices and the hassle with the insurance company was a nightmare.
