I wanted to reduce the number of files on my Mac and moved all my pictures and edits to the external hard drive. Even though the disk comes formatted for Mac or PC I would make sure you reformat the disk before use. The speed is great and have had no issues. 5

Very, very fast.. Can record h.264 streams straight out of my Tricaster Mini with no bottlenecks. Great external drive & the Pro is worth it for assured write speeds. If you're just keeping files on it for long term you may not need the pro, but this is like a Raid drive for your PC or laptop to quickly work with files. 5

Liked the sale, finally saw an SSD that worked at speeds half of the promise of top-end USB-C and T-bird 3/4. Otherwise, it's a very compact and dependable external drive that I use for a primary drive for photos owing to the increased speed. I back up to regular SSD's. Still looking for a 40GB/sec drive I can afford. 5
