This Cavision 82mm Circular Polarizer Filter is designed for lenses with focal lengths of 70mm or less. It helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions.

This filter measures 82mm in diameter and is constructed from optical glass for maintained image quality.

Helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface.

Arrange and filter directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light allowing for the absorption of much of the light.

Lessens haze in distant landscapes and provides more saturated, vivid colors.

Strongest effect when used at a 90° angle from the sun.

Circular polarizers are ideal for use with digital cameras and autofocus lenses where a linear polarizer will often disrupt auto exposure and focus features.

Constructed from high quality optical glass.

Filter ring can be rotated to adjust the intensity of the polarization effect.

Designed for lenses with focal lengths of 70mm or less.

Q: 1. does this fit a sony sel55210 lens?

A: You can attach a lens cap to the front of the Sony 67mm T* Circular Polarizer Filter.

Q: 4. Since this is a circular polarizer, does that mean the amount of polarization will be affected by the amount you rotate it?

A: Yes as you rotate it inside the filter holder purchased separately you set the amount of polarization. But you would rotate a linear polarizer the same way to set the polarization.

Q: 5. Hello,I am not sure about this square filter - is it necessary filter to be rotated as we use round circular polarizer filters?Or this filter stays still in horizontal position only?Thank you.Best regards,Rado

A: Yes, a square circular polarizing filter will still need to be rotated just like a round one. To rotate this filter, you will need a specialized matte box that has a rotating filter stage. The 6 x 6 Universal Matte Box Package from Cavision: http://bhpho.to/JYrd2j

I always try to use only Nikon products on my Nikon cameras and lenses so when I recently purchased my new 50mm 1.8 for my Z6 II there was no question I would get a Nikon polarizer. I am saddened that Nikon no longer makes many of its filters, but B+W are also very good. This polarizer from Nikon fits well and has no distortion whatsoever and thin enough that you can mount more than one filter with no vignette.
