The Lectrosonics UHF Filter/Amplifier Module (Block 24-25) provides a unique, high performance solution for antenna systems requiring long cable runs or distribution to multiple receivers or locations. The unit can be used to apply RF gain at the antenna ahead of a long run of coaxial cable to compensate for signal loss through the cable. A compact, high performance multicoupler can also be configured using the UFM50 ahead of an RF splitter to offset the loss through the splitter.

The UFM50 design places RF filtering before gain to minimize intermodulation (IM) products and prevent overload. Two transmission line ceramic resonators at the input provide filtering with a 50 MHz bandwidth. Following the filters, 12dB of gain is applied with a high quality GasFET RF amplifier with an excellent +41dBm IP3. The result is outstanding RF performance without IM or overload problems.

A switching regulator is used in the power supply to control current consumption over an input voltage range of 8-16 volts. The regulator maintains low current consumption and low heat dissipation which is especially useful in portable audio mixing common in field production and ENG.

The UFM50 can be powered from external DC or via phantom power through a coaxial cable connected to a multicoupler. The housing is constructed of cast aluminum with a brushed aluminum cover plate. Two rugged BNC connectors and a threaded, locking power jack provide secure connections for rugged field conditions and for long-term installations.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how many receivers can I use with one transmitter?

A: There is no limit to the amount of receivers usable with The Lectrosonics IFBT4 transmitter.

Q: 2. Can this be attached to another V-Mount battery (Core SWX Brand, etc.) other than the Core SWX PowerBase 70?

A: We're afraid not. This cable is specifically for PowerBase 70 batteries.

Q: 3. Is there a 12'' version of this product? It can be a different brand as long as it is switronix compatible.

A: as long as i know no there is not

Q: 4. Is this the cartridge/casing I need to put an SSD card into so it will fit into the NSB-25?

A: Yes this is the correct item for using a SSD with the NSB-25.

Q: 5. what is the smqv connector? is TA3M? or TA5M?

A: The connector is a TA5.

Q: 6. what is the matching reciever?

A: The Lectrosonics SMQV Super Miniature Wireless Microphone Transmitter is compatible with any Lectrosonics Digital Hybrid receiver in the correct frequency block, such as BH #LEUCR411A21.

Q: 7. no antena in the box?

A: The Lectrosonics R400a will ship with power supply and 2 antennas.

Q: 8. Does this include block 26 color caps?

A: Yes, the Lectrosonics Antenna Kit for Lectrosonics 200 and 400 Series includes one individual color cap for each frequency block, including a blue cap for block 26.

Q: 9. Is this ok to use for bag work? Would the proximity of this transmitter interfere with the receivers, I'm also carrying in my audio bag? Would the LMa model be a better solution?

A: I don't think you have anything to worry about. The systems you are using are about as good as it gets. They are all frequency agile and the system overcomes channel noise by digital encoding and decoding audio in the transmitter and receiver. That being said no wireless can be 100% fool proof. But what you are using is about as close as it gets. Even in the worst case scenario if you had an issue. You can always take a receiver out of your bag and put it in your back pocket. I think you should be fine and the LMa is unnecessary.

Q: 10. Which printer is best for this paper ?

A: I use a Canon IPF 8100 and the blacks are amazing! I have tried other papers but none compare with the richness and neutral tonality. I have used this paper exclusively since 2007. Hope this helps.

The price tag is a bit overwhelming when you've never used one of these guys. But once you do you'll never turn back. Quality is at the utmost and the RF strength is second to none. I never have to worry about losing a signal mid-take and they can be easily hidden with neopaks. Highly recommended.

We purchased the PBM240A Public Address Mixer and Amplifier for use at a refinery location. It arrived in mint condition and worked exactly as intended. B&H has always been good to us when we purchase products from them.

I do production sound for a varity of different types of projects from feature films, to 1 day commercial shoots. I use these in the field everyday. They are low energy consumption and I typically only have to change batteries twice in a 10-14 hour day. (I power them down during lunch and any time we have a long set up.) I have never experiences any rf cutting like on the 100 series or other brands of lavs. 9.8 out of 10!!!

-Superb battery life (At 100mw, I get over 8 hours with a pair of rechargeable 2400mh NiMh AA. It will go 14 hours if using lithium AA!) -Excellent sound quality. -Unrivaled reliability. -Smartphone App lets you change settings via dweedle tone. I love the newer, darker finish on them.

These little transmitters from Lectrosonics do so much in tiny package. great range, no drop outs or interference issues. Being so small they are easy to hide on tight and challenging wardrobe. They can be controlled using the lectro Rm iPhone app which means the only time you need to physically retrieve the pack from talent during a performance is to change the battery- which you will do less often due to the fact you can put the Tx to sleep when the talent is off the set and wake it up again when needed using the afore mentioned app.
