That being said, from images taken with the two lenses, the Z-mount lens appears much sharper compared to the F-mount lens used on the same camera with the FTZ lens mount adapter. The Z-mount lens used wide-open at f/1.8 appears sharper than the F-mount lens used two stops down at f/2.8. In addition to the above, the Z-mount lens also is sealed from dust and moisture, and has Nano Crystal coatings and Super Integrated coatings for improved optical performance and easier cleaning. While both lenses are good, optically, I would recommend the Nikon NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 S Lens.
