Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. in travel photography specific to windy spaces, do you have any suggestion a practical way to weigh down the tripod to prevent it blowing over?

A: The tripod has a weight hook underneath the spider which you can hang a bag from.

Q: 2. Can it accomodate a Nikon D810 with an attached 24-70?

A: I wouldn't recommend it. That combo is 12 inches long and would take up most of the room in the bag lengthwise with the dividers removed. You would have no room for any extra lenses or a flash, only room for an extra battery and a filter or two. If you only need this one lens and you don't carry a flash, it will work. But I recommend something larger for this combo. Try the Lowepro website. They have a bag finder app that matches your equipment to the bag(s) that will accommodate it. Good luck.

Q: 3. Will it fit an older Trinovid (1997)?

A: Yes!!!

Q: 4. Does the bag have adequate padding inside to protect the camera and tablet?

A: it's for urban and travel purposes. as such the bag is very versatile and expandable, but only the portion to hold the camera and tablet has padding and that padding is fairly light. it's not intended to be thrown on the ground, but i have no fears for the safety of my equipment when used as intended. Perfect for mirrorless camera with a lens attached and an additional lens or flash. If you intend to use the expanded section for equipment you need to have it either in a padded case like those that come with most flashes or binoculars or a padded lens case. You can also fit another padded storage compartment in the expanded section for equipment not kept in cases. like i said very versatile bag for MFT/mirrorless.

Q: 5. Can this sling hold a 2018 iPad 21.9”?

A: iPad Dimensions 9.4 x 6.6 x 0.3" and this bags Compartment Dimensions 4.1 x 7.5 x 7.5" not a fit

Q: 6. Does this bag hold a 2020 12.9 iPad Pro?

A: Yes, it will hold a 12.9 Ipad pro.

Q: 7. Can I fit an 11 MB AIR in the space provided for a tablet?

A: Sorry - just saw this e-mail. I think it would be tight to put the 11 MC Air in the bag. If you don't have too much else (photo equipment) in I think it would fit. I only use my bag for photo and I can get a lot in the bag of that. I love the bag! Glad I bought it!

Q: 8. I would be carrying a Canon 50D with a battery grip, and two lenses. Anyone know, 1) if this could reasonably accommodate a DSLR with a battery grip, and 2) if you could actually carry a flash and an extra lens for a total of body, 2 lenses and flash?

A: I carry a Nikon D5300 which is a smaller body with an 18-300mm f3.5 lens with lens facing up in the bag, can also carry a flash and another lens. The width of the bag is not very wide, so may be tight for a camera with battery grip and if a large lens attached to it.

Q: 9. will my fuji xt4 , 50-140 lens and 16-55 lens --fit in this bag?

A: No, this bag is too small.

Q: 10. It looks like the main compartment would easily accommodate my Lumix FZ1000 and a flash unit. Would 8x42 roof prism binoculars fit in the expandable front compartment? Thanks.

A: Yes, but it may be a bit bulky, you may have to arrange things to get the right fit.

Pelican is the industry standard and I always expect a solid product. I prefer using padded dividers to customize the case as its use changes.

There's nothing better than Pelican cases, with all the sizes to choose from, the incredible build quality and reliable performance. The moveable dividers are my favorite over the foam because you can reconfigure as often as you need to. This size is perfect for my DJI Osmo, extra batteries and chargers, Z-Axis and other accessories.

This case is an amazing case! It is the perfect size for someone with a dSLR and a few lenses and accessories for that camera. It fits my stuff well, is super rugged and has great little features that make it easier to use (auto pressure release valve, stay-open hinge, nameplate). I would recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their equipment protected.

Originally I assumed the cases were primarily for air travel and never thought of owning. Recently purchased for carrying extra lenses. Quality Made. Like the sealing lid, hinges & clasp, handle, and construction. I ordered Yellow as I wanted to have a different case from others.

This is a reasonably sized case that fits in my closet about the size of a business briefcase in width, and about 7 inches deep. I used to keep all my lenses and other photo-related gear on the shelves in my walk-in closet, but it didn't take long for the equipment to overwhelm the space. It wasn't ideal, nor was it safe for my gear. so that is why I purchased this case, and I'm glad i did. Now my gear is in one location that I can move to somewhere else if need be, and I can find quickly. The yellow case is easy to see inside a dark closet too - that's why I went w/ the yellow over the black. I knew I'd trip over a dark case eventually as it sits on the floor of my closet, next to a suitcase. This Pelican case has very strong, durable snap locks at the handle that ensures it is 100% closed and won't accidentally open. And just like most of my camera bags, it has velcro dividers that make it easy to customize to fit the gear (or tools).
