Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will these work for Canon RF 50mm F1.2 lens?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the Canon 50mm 1.2.

Q: 2. Can you still use a lens cap while this lens hood is mounted on the lens?

A: Yes, but do so by capping the front of the hood, not the lens. Use a Nikon 82mm lens cap, B&H part B&H # NILC82. This will work very well because the hood has frontal filter threads, sized for 82mm filters.

Q: 3. If you use this inside a closet would it be enough for a good quality VO recording?

A: If you are inside a closet with towels and blankets on the shelves, and an assortment of clothes hanging up, you will probably not need a reflection filter like this. That recording environment will already stop most of the echo and reflection this is designed to stop. The main job of a reflection filter like the Auray RF-C20 is to absorb and diffuse some of the sound energy from the voice, and also to prevent echoes of that sound from entering the rear of the microphone.

Q: 4. Does this work with this microphone? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/844096-REG/Audio_Technica_AT2005USB_AT2005USB_Cardioid_Dynamic_USB_XLR.html/mode/edu. and are any other components necessary

A: Hi, yes this does work with the Audio Technica microphone. Please note, the shockmount in the picture is not included though. You may consider the Audio-Technica AT8410A Shock Mount (Spring Loaded) BH #AUAT8410A - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/68138-REG/Audio_Technica_AT8410A_AT8410A_Shock_Mount.html. Thank you for shopping at B&H!

Q: 5. Would this work with a Shure MV7 Podcast Microphone on an Auray BAI-2N Two-Section Broadcast Arm?

A: The Auray RF-5P-R Five-Panel Reflection Filter could be used with the Shure MV7, but it is too large and heavy to mount on a moveable broadcast arm.

Q: 6. does it come with the shock mount?

A: No. It comes with all of the components listed on Page 03 of the manual, in the following link. https://static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/452850.pdf

Q: 7. Does this hood stay in place (not rotate or fall off) of the Nikkor Z 24-120mm S f/4 lens?

A: The Sensei 77mm Quick Clip Lens Hood, being a two-piece design, would allow you to attach the threaded ring onto a lens with 77mm size filter threads and allow the hood to clip on and off. As it is a two-part clip-on hood, there is a possibility of the hood rotating or moving. If you would prefer a hood that will click onto a Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens and not rotate or move, you can consider the Nikon HB-102 Lens Hood: https://bhpho.to/3jEUNgP.

Q: 8. Can you use it with the Auray broadcast arm?

A: No. The Auray RF-C20 Studio Isolation Filter weighs 8.2 pounds, which is much more weight than the Auray broadcast arms can support. The Auray BA-XE4 Broadcast Arm with Integrated XLR Cable (B&H # AUBAXE4) and the BAE-2X Two-Section Broadcast Arm with External Springs & Integrated XLR Cable (B&H # AUBAE2X) can each support up to 3.5 pounds, while the Auray BAI-2N Two-Section Broadcast Arm with Internal Springs (B&H # AUBAI2N) and the BAI-2X Two-Section Broadcast Arm with Internal Springs and Integrated XLR Cable (B&H # AUBAI2X) can each support up to 5 pounds.

Q: 9. Will this work whit Fujifilm 110mm gfx

A: The Fuji 110mm lens already comes with a hood. This Heliopan hood would also fit the lens but it has not been tested so it might vignette the image or allow a flare. The included hood with your lens will not vignette and it would block more flares than a screw on hood.

Q: 10. how quick to get on and off the camera?

A: Taking this hood off is quick and easy, a 1/4 turn and it comes off easily.
