best price for good quality

One of the best cam for the money I ever used, mostly indoors, the image is excellent, only 1.5 lux, + a lot of controls. After I bought it the price went up $200, still worth it.

Small but significant improvements over the HF S100. The manual control extends further away from the body so that it can be gripped with two fingers... makes it easier to control. Takes Class 10 SDHC whereas the previous version would only accept up to Class 6 for MXP recording. Repositioned SDHC slot so that it no longer can interfere with any quick release plates. Has two SDHC slots. Indoors with theater lighting the image quality is outstanding. Outside in bright light need a shade over the LCD since this model does not have a viewfinder. Professional sound needs external mics though internal sound is very good.

it is a High end Home camera which can be used to make great home movies ,documentaries and more. Great features for a very acceptable price ,it is my Favorite quality-Price Camcorder on the Market for today April 2011 I absolutely recommand it

This product is used for home personal family. The camera is light but sturdy, easy to use right out of box,gives fantastic stills & HD videos. Accompanying software is very helpful. Well worth the price. Would have been nice if a carry strap & HDSD card & carry case had been included.

This is an execllent product . This I bought for my Dauguter. I already had one . The picture quality is excellent.

I use the product for home videos only, and I switched from an old Panasonic because I was getting too grainy a video. That isn't a problem with this camcorder. It takes great video in all light conditions, and I've been incredibly happy with it. I have filmed pheasant hunts and been able to zoom in on the birds before the flush, I have filmed Christmas morning in low light, and I have filmed a squirrel jumping 20' to a bird feeder and watched all the videos in crystal clarity on a 60 TV afterwards. I am very happy with this camera.

Easy to use and set up. The touch screen wasn't difficult at all. The zoom is ok but that's expected with a 10x. The quality of the movies really really good and so easy to plug into HDMA on High Def TV's. Just open the box, charge and it's ready to go. For the money, it's the best I could find.

We use the Vixia HF S200 in our Basic 'Backpack Journalism Kits.' Students can take a relatively small case and a tripod and with the S200 they can acquire whatever content we need for our program and website. The S200 can shoot the perfect size of still photo AND shoot fantastic HD video. The workflow is seamless with FCP, using SD cards to shoot on saves us time, and even in Academia...time is money. I personally prefer the discontinued S100's 'joystick' over the S200's touchscreen, but only because 30+ students on a touchscreen scares me. We've had no problems with it so far.
