The MH-01 Monopod Head with B2-40 LR Clamp from Really Right Stuff is designed to support heavy telephoto lenses with a 75 lb load capacity. It moves smoothly through its 180° tilt range and locks securely with a large knob. The base of this compact head features both an Arca-type dovetail and a 3/8"-16 female thread for multiple mounting options.

The Arca-type quick release clamp features a release lever for fast action. It is removable and can be repositioned to suit individual applications.

A: As long as the added weight plus your camera and lens are less than the max load capacity of the Ronin S, then it will work fine.

A: if you want to replace the existing unit of your ball head, there is work to do. to place it on the quick release plate of the Gitzo unit it works.

A: The Really Right Stuff B2-40-LR II Lever Release Clamp (50mm) is not adjustable. Only Arca-Type QR plates from Really Right Stuff, Kirk, and Wimberley are guaranteed to fit.

Q: 5. With RRS switching to R mount, could the clamp still be able to replace normal clamp on other ballheads?

A: To use legacy clamps such as Really Right Stuff B2-LR-II Lever-Release Clamp (60mm) on an R mount head you would need the RRS Ball Head Rosette Adapter RRS-9000001. At this time B&H does not list it for sale since it is new, but we should list it soon.

Q: 6. Will this work with a novoflex magic ball?

A: It should is my guess. BUT. finger access under the mounting plate and ball handle might be an issue. Take it to a big camera store to check if it works. The huge issue with your ball head is- given the weight of the camera, is it good enough to clamp the load firmly?

A: You have to use the RRS BH-55 ballhead. I am using the 80mm clamp and it is much more positive than the Arca Swiss.

Q: 8. Will this work with the Kirk TLB2 levelling base and MPS plates?

A: The Really Right Stuff B2-LR-II Lever-Release Clamp (60mm) should work without any issues with the Kirk TLB2 leveling base and MPS plates.

Q: 9. Will this work securely with the Really Right Stuff L-Plate for FUJIFILM GFX 50R? There don't seem to be any anti-slide screws on that plate's underside, unless I'm thinking about this all wrong.

A: Yes. The Lever-Release Clamp will be able to securely grip the L-Plate. The anti-slide screws are just there for added security before one fully tightens the clamp. When the clamp is fully tightened it will hold the plate in place regardless of whether it has those screws or not.
