The DS-2CD6D24FWD-IZHS PanoVu 8MP Outdoor Four-Sensor Network Dome Camera from Hikvision is a multi-sensor camera that uses four 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensors to capture video at a total resolution of 7680 x 1080. Each sensor captures 1080p resolution video at 30 fps. EXIR technology provides up to 98' of night vision. A: This is a cinema lens. There are several differences and none of them are to do with sharpness. First cinema lenses are measured in T stops not F stops. This means that they calculate into the equation how much light the optics lets through (T stops let in more light than F stops). Second, the gear rings are different so that you can put a follow focus on it. Third it has a click less aperture for smooth adjustments during filming. Fourth it has the UMC coating which gives you a little different, more cinematic colors.A Rokinon lens will be as sharp as a Rokinon lens is. That's not a knock, I think they're pretty great for their price.

Q: 2. is it worth getting this version of the m43 Rokinon 85mm t1.5 over the cheaper one ( Rokinon 85mm T1.5 Cine AS IF UMC Lens )? Is there a noticeable improvement in image quality? (I would need this for both video and stills head & shoulders portraits)..thanks for any feedback

A: Side by side, I would think that the image quality would be about the same. The more expensive DS or Dual Side lens line has features that come into play when you have a set of them. You get the Dual Side focus markings, unified aperture and focus gear ring distance, (simplifying lens changes) and color matching. If you do not intend to get a DS set and plan more casual use, then save some money and get the less expensive one. If you plan more intensive video use then spend the money, get a set of DS lenses and enjoy the benefits.

Q: 3. Can you use this cleaning kit on a SLR film camera? Specifically the sensor on a Canon AE-1 and Nikon F3?

A: Film cameras don't have image sensors--that's only found on digital cameras.
