  • The Hydrasynth features a patented Polytouch technology with a semiweighted keybed that provides fully polyphonic aftertouch in addition to the standard velocity and aftertouch found on other keybeds. Variations in key pressure can affect notes individually.
  • The Hydrasynth  features high-quality standard-sized keys, so keyboard players will be right at home. This revolutionary technology helps you be more in touch with the music you are making. Now every note you play can ebb and flow like the tide.

Add powerful expression to any patch using our 4-octave Ribbon Controller, which is perfectly situated above the keyboard. It can be used as a freely assignable modulation source, a pitch bend control, or as a monophonic instrument, thanks to the Theremin mode, which uses the ribbon to trigger a note. Choose continuous pitch operation, or quantize the ribbon to one of 60 scales including microtonal scales. What's more, the ribbon can also be used as a CV source to control your Eurorack system.

Oscillators 1 and 2 are routed into Mutants. The Mutants allow you to modulate, bend, and sculpt the sound in new (and old) ways.

Each Mutant lets you choose from the following processes:

  • FM-Linear: This is for making classic FM sounds. Choose multiple FM sources, including external inputs.
  • WavStack: Creates 5 copies of the input source and allows you to set a detune amount.
  • Osc Sync: This gives you those classic hard sync sounds. Try hard-syncing a morphing wavetable for some fun.
  • Pulse Width Modulation (PW-Orig): Performs the classic pulse width modulation on any waveform.
  • PW-Squeeze: Compresses the center section of the waveform for a unique type of PWM.
  • PW-ASM: Divides the incoming wave into 8 slices and lets you set the amount of FM that is applied to each segment.
  • Harmonic Sweep: This will sweep the harmonics of the input source.
  • PhazDiff: Generates the difference betwen the incoming wave and a version that is inverted and phase-shifted.

The Mutants can also generate their own waveforms in both FM and Sync modes, so you don't have to use another oscillator. The routing is flexible, so you can choose the other oscillators as mod sources if you like.

Five Low-Frequency Oscillators (LFOs)

  • LFOs feature a Step mode that lets you create patterns with up to 64 steps. Having 5 mini step sequencers gives you an amazing number of possibilities for further shaping your sound.
  • There are also 10 standard waveforms available including Sample and Hold, Noise, and Random.
  • Each LFO has delay, fade in, 3 triggering modes, smoothing, start phase, BPM sync, and a One-Shot mode so that they can act as envelopes.
  • Recent updates offer some exciting new features, including a Step option for the One-Shot mode that allows the Step wave to advance by one step per trigger.
  • And LFOs now can be quantized to create stepped values. It's like bit-reduction for your LFOs.

  • Five 6-stage envelopes, each featuring Delay, Attack, Hold, Decay, Sustain, and Release stages.
  • The durations of the ADR stages can be set to seconds or subdivisions of the tempo, giving you envelopes that play in sync to your song.
  • Loop the envelopes to turn them into LFOs that can be shaped by any source in the modulation matrix. Each envelope can be triggered by up to four different sources, and there's a Tap Trigger option too. Envelopes can be quantized to different step levels.

  • The modulation capabilities on the Hydrasynth are endless with 32 user-definable Modulation matrix slots.
  • 35 modulation sources and 191 modulation destinations
  • Almost everything in the synth engine can be a modulation destination, including the effects and arpeggiator. The modulation routes themselves can also become modulation destinations, and can be targeted by the Macros too.
  • Modulation sources & destinations include the CV Mod In and Out jacks as well as all 128 MIDI CCs.
  • Its worth mentioning that there are some hardwired modulation routes located in other modules too. This means you don't have to burn up one of the 32 mod routes in the Modulation matrix to do certain basic functions.

  • The arpeggiator has all the standard arpeggio directions plus a few twists (up, down, and/or sideways, sort of). There's also a built-in phrase mode, step offset and a range of 6 octaves.
  • Parameters like Ratchet and Chance will generate other semi-random rhythmic patterns to add life and spontaneity to your performance.
  • You can also modulate most of the parameters in the arpeggiator.

  • Industry-standard MIDI and USB/MIDI interfaces are available on the Hydrasynth.
  • Use CV/Gate to interface to the modular world, opening the door to unlimited expansion of your musical horizons.
  • The CV/Gate and Mod connectors support standard voltages for Eurorack modular, the 1.2V per octave Buchla standard, and some of the Japanese Volts/Hz products.
  • The CV Mod In and Out jacks allow for modulation from DC to full audio range, which multiplies your modulation capabilities.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does Voice Operated Recording work if using the 1/8" input jack, or just the microphone? Really need this if it can do it through the input.

A: The Sony ICD-UX570 Digital Voice Recorder (Black)BH #SOICDUX570BK will accept an external microphone via its 1/8", 3.5mm microphone input port.

Q: 2. How does it sound when you use the 3.5mm jack to record with a cavalier microphone?

A: You can connect a clip on mic to the 3.5mm jack, for more isolated dialog. You would get less background sound with a lavalier microphone.

Q: 3. Will It Record From 3.5mm Input Jack?

A: If you use a microphone designed for a recorder, yes. A microphone for a smartphone won't work.

Q: 4. Is there a manual gain control?

A: You can manually adjust the input sensitivity of the microphones to change the level of the recording.

Q: 5. Is there a back light on the display? Is it readable in dark environments?

A: The display would have a back light. Unfortunately there isn't a indicator for screen brightness.

Q: 6. Does the microphone port accept TRS or TRRS?

A: The Sony ICD-PX370 Digital Voice Recorder with USB BH #SOICDPX370 will accept TRS only.

Q: 7. Is it possible to insert an output cable from a headphone output radio into the microphone input ... to record !?

A: Yes. use this cable: Sescom LN2MIC-ZOOMH4N - Line to Microphone Attenuation Cable for HDSLR Cameras B&H # SEL2MZH4N https://bhpho.to/2XTV6ct DSLR Cable for Zoom H4N and Zoom H1 3.5mm Connectors 25dB L Pad Attenuator 9 Inches

Q: 8. How I can erase the recording?

A: While on the file that you are looking to delete click the bottom right trashcan button to delete the file.

Q: 9. What lav mics work with this recorder, only Sony?

A: You can use just about any lav, we have recommend lavs under the accessories.

Q: 10. Hi! How does this recorder perform when recording live concerts?

A: Using the recorder itself without a microphone will have much distortion when recording a concert. A shotgun microphone will be best to use if you are not on stage.

I started portrait photography with SMC Takumar 55/1.8 and was right away striked with its beautiful watercolor-style bokeh. Since then I seek for a auto-focus lens with that style of sharpness and bokeh. And, OMG, I found it - SMC Pentax FA 43/1.9 Limited. Even more sharp wide open - when shooting full-height portrait I can see pattern of the eye iris. Wow! Bokeh even more surrealistic. Very clear colours. Nice low-light performance. Handling is perfect -metall body, tight cover - this lens is truly pleasant to hold. Silver looks just great, even better than Canon grey L series :-)). As a result it's ideal for a commercial portrait, wedding, still commercial photography. And of course, fine-art photography. It's good but not ideal for event and children portrait photography; I have found only three cons: - a little slow auto-focus - it's not always okay when shooting events and little children portraits. Sports shooting is not about the lens; - when shooting at night - strong CA around day-light sources. - be careful about bokeh on stopped down lens - not always suitable for nature and landscape photography. I'm completely satisfied with this beautiful lens.

Had read so much about this lens and its characteristics. Well, my curiosity got the best of me so I purchased it. Not sorry! It has met and exceeded my expectations. And B & H, the only place I buy my photo equipment from. Very professional and totally dependable. .

I was able to compare this lens to the Legendary 31 1.8 and also to 50 1.4, as well as 55 1.4... ... I fell in love with the 43 mm for it's results through the camera's LCD panel. It seemed sharp, very sharp. I really like the perspective, it lets me get closer to my toddler with its near 66mm field of view. The 55 1.4 was sharp and bright too but too telephoto for me. Also the 43mm focuses pretty fast, although noisier than the 55 1.4...Another reason not to get the 31 1.8 was simply that I already own the 35mm 2.8 limited and the fov was too close. The fact that the 43mm is very small compared to the others, is justnthe icing on the cake. Of course I would love to hold the 31mm in my hand every day, but the 43mm seems just fine for now. Great construction, fast aperture and sharp results. A perfect low light prime for catching my two year old around the house!

Perfect for portraits, walkaround street shots. Bit soft wide open but often you need this softness for portraits, becomes very sharp from F2.8 and razor sharp from F3.5. Mainly I use it in 1.9-3.2 range for its magical 3D look.

I've been using this lens on my K-3 as a normal lens and it hasn't let me down. It works great as a 'walk-around' lens on my trips into Atlanta and also for landscapes in a nearby Nature Preserve. Sharpness and colors are super and I'm having trouble finding a reason to take it off my camera.
