Happy I bought this..works well and the results are excellent. Only very slightly out of square when I got it, but that is expected with a mass produced product shipped widely - easily corrected in less than 10 minutes. The book is helpful, and there's a youtube video that tells you all you need to know. Learning curve on making mats for the first time was less than expected using this tool. 5

I have been wanting to get into matting and framing because my husband is an exceptional wildlife photographer and I am always shocked by the cost of professional framing. I was initialy going to get a cheaper model, but my husband talked me into this one because it does EVERYTHING - in addition to regular mats, it has all the tools to cut 8-ply mats, foamboard, acrylic, paper, and even glass. So far I have only used it for mats (only had it for 4 days) but I am thoroughly excited by the possibilities. The instructions that come with it are very clear, it is easy to use, and the construction is very solid. As an extra nice touch, the framing book that comes with it gives you all sorts of other cool ideas. Looks like I may have to start making my own frames soon. 5
