Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this work with photoshop?

A: Yes, it does work with Photoshop. A graphic tablet is a MUST if you plan to work with Photoshop often. Wacom is the most popular graphic tablet manufacturer, and they make a great product. I have had both the large and medium sized tablets. The medium size is plenty big for 90% of people. The large was too big - it takes large arm movements unless you limit the drawing area in the software. And if you do that, why get a big one?

Q: 2. Tablet screen protector?

A: Unfortunately there is no screen protector available for this product.

Q: 3. I just received the Wacom Pro Small and got it configured yesterday only to find out the sliders in Lightroom lag really bad, which makes it unusable. I saw some posts on the internet regarding this and there is no real solution. I'm a Windows 10 user and have the latest version of Lightroom CC. Any suggestions? Bummed out at this point. Thanks!

A: Try turning off Windows Ink. That should solve the issue

Q: 4. Can the tablet rotate 180 degrees with the express keys are on the right side so I can draw with my left hand and use the keys with my right?

A: Yes. You can orient the express keys and touch ring on the right-hand side. There is an orientation setting in the System Preferences.

Q: 5. Can this be used for a digital whiteboard on a Windows 11 PC? I do a lot of whiteboarding while on Zoom and MS Teams video calls. Will this work?

A: You can use this Wacom tablet as a input source on a Windows 11 computer.

Q: 6. Has anyone used this with Adobe After Effects, and does it make it easier?

A: The Wacom Intuos Pro Creative Pen Tablet (Large) BH #WAIPL is compatible with After Effects and it will definitely make certain things easier like roto, selections, lines, etc.

Q: 7. Does the Adobe CC offer apply to only new subscriptions or can it be applied to existing accounts?

A: The Adobe CC offer applies to new or existing accounts.

Q: 8. When first setting this up, will it delete all of my Custom made keyboard shortcuts??? That would be a travesty!

A: If you are replacing a current device chances are it will, it depends on your device.

Q: 9. i have an iMac 27" witch size i should get for a photographer that use photoshop on a daily basis and need to move with it all over the screen?

A: The recommended size for your setup would be Large.

Q: 10. Is there any device software that has to be installed for it to work?

A: Yes you have to install software and drivers to operate the Intuos Pro. A disk will come with the tablet with the software and drivers or you can go to In Intuos website and download the up to date software.

This replaces a previous Wacom intros medium tablet that had a failed usb connector. Wireless worked-sort of, now and then, just erratically enough for me to scream. I hate to replace a relatively expensive item that works except for a CONNECTOR! This new Wacom has a redesigned usb connector that should correct the previous problem. Once you use a tablet, it is hard to go back to a mouse, especially as yo get older.

My take is that tablets are a required accessory for any serious Photoshop editing. I'm a long time Wacom user. My previous tablet was an Intuos Pro 4 circa 2010. For a bunch of years, I've been living with the periodic freezing problem these things have had. It doesn't take long on Google to find that a LOT of people have experienced this. Some has been traced to Windows Ink, but I'm on a Mac. Its persisted across years of updates of Wacom drivers, Photoshop versions, and Mac OS updates. In desperation, I finally decided to buy this tablet and I can report that after several weeks of heavy use it hasn't frozen once! Otherwise, it works exactly like my old Intuos Pro 4. I first tried the Small version, which worked fine for my iMac 27 screen size, but didn't like the way my hand rested on it. I exchanged it for the medium version which is ergonomically better for me. I do use a couple of the buttons and the scroll wheel, which are appreciated. I don't use the multi-touch feature. I don't rely on Bluetooth connectivity for fear of lagging, and I appreciate the improved design of the USB cord. Hope that helps somebody.

After using an Intuos 3 for many years I figured it was time for a new tablet. Wow! Am I happy I did. The tablet and pen are used every day for general web browsing and for photo editing. The express keys, along with the radial wheel, are so customizable that web browsing is far more convenient than using a mouse. The extensive customizing for photo editing is also great. I use it with Lightroom, Paintshop X7, Perfect Effects 9 and other editing software and have had no problems. My workflow is far more efficient than it was with my older tablet. Configuring the features can be daunting to first users so I'd suggestchecking out the many video tutorials.

Was deciding between the iPad Pro + Pencil or this to update my current retouching process. Before, was still using a prior Intuos Pro. Spent some time at the Apple Store trying to figure out if its better to just direct the money towards a new iPad + Pencil or stick with my current Intuos set up.

I ended up going with this because if you are seriously retouching a high volume of photos or drawing designs at a fixed set up with a monitor, this is the best tool to add. The iPad Pro + Pencil sounded good at the beginning but as I used it over and over it just seemed to suit a different work flow than what I needed, i.e., high volume retouching on my external BenQ. The material does make a huge difference in terms of how you experience the brushes/tools while retouching compared to the screen of an iPad.

Overall, if you are a retoucher or graphic designer who does a high volume of work, I think this is the best tool for that. If you're more mobile, I'd check the other options and see if the cons outweigh the benefits.
