A: If you use the wifi mode on not on auto it eats the battery to around 45 minutes but the good thing about this camera it does record as long as it has energy in the battery. I haven't tried using an external battery yet I think it would get in the picture or video or the wire would. I connected the camera to the phone with the wire and that did not help it last much longer. So we need to buy more batteries for the insta360 one x but insta360 website says coming soon and b and h at this writing does not have extra batteries listed.
