Q: 1. Does this use a common thread like an AKG P420?

A: On the bottom both have a 5/8 tread in order to connect it to a stand/or microphone arm. I also tried the AKG P420 with this shock mount and it fits however the microphone doesn't fully lock in place. I would recommend to use the AKG P420 shock mount for better stability.

Q: 2. Does this use a standard thread like an AKG P420?

A: The thread this connects to the mic stand is a standrd 5/8" and will fit on any microphone stand. It is designd to fit Thronmax microphones. Other manufacturers microphones may not fit.

Q: 3. Is this monitor for video shooting only or can it be used for still shooting with Sony a7 series cameras as well?

A: In matching a monitor to a camera, the video connectors must be the same or a converter used, and the camera's video format must be one the monitor can read. The Lilliput can read most any popular camera format and reads the Sony a7 just fine.

I have chices of how to use the FL-14 flash, I like the large screen (Had a Stylus 500 with similar screen) I use mine primarily for portraits, as I have trouble searching for moving objects in the large screen. I hope Olympus will come out with an 85mm equivalent 4/3 lens that's fast, their telephoto doesn't interest me. Next purchase for me is the digital eyepiece for those moving shots.

I've had great fun taking the EP-2 around and shooting with it, especially shooting video with my array of Olympus 4/3rds lens. Love the big image quality in HD, and amazing sound quality especially using the eternal mike. The Art Modes are interesting, grainy black & white, pinhole, etc. The camera body seems sturdy, although controls are quite packed in there for big boy fingers. The 17mm pancake lens is adorable, fast (2.8) and has a great field of view for all around shooting. My only criticism is the plastic build material of the lens, and the accessory electronic viewfinder. I hope it's durable.

Excellent image quality on a small and light package, with interchangeable lens. For a motorcycle traveler like me, this is a good option. Now my E-620 can take a rest.

I already owned a Panny GF1, but quite wasn't happy with it. After some serious reading of many reviews and comparisons of EP2, I decided to take the plunge and bought the camera. ...I have big hands, but the EP2 is comfortable to hold, even though it's lighter than the GF1. The main control dial is easy to use. Powering the camera is quick and the power button is visible especially in the dark. I am impressed with the image quality. Thanks to the 17mm pancake lens. I am happy using the little FL 14 flash, as well. There are a few thing snot to like in this camera. The strap is stiff and a bit hard to install. The inferface is at first confusing, but after a while, it gets easier, but still complicated, if not paying attention to the menu. The built in IS seems to be not as effective, because my daughter took my photo and the picture came out a bit blurry. Overall, I am happy with this little gem.

As a long time Leica rangefinder user who finds himself priced out of the Leica digital marketplace, the E-P2 is the camera I'd hoped someone would introduce - a lightweight, large sensor, interchangeable lens camera that (with an adapter) takes my Leitz lenses. With the optional EVF, this becomes my ideal small kit. The camera is built like a tank, and handles nicely. I'm not a fan of extensive menus, but but by setting aperture priority and varying ISO, I can greatly limit searching through them. With Leica lenses used manually, they become image stabilized and the zoom focus is a nice feature. Noise control is excellent. The pancake lens is fine, given the compact design. It is a little soft around the edges at full aperture, but more than sharp enough by f/5.6. While it gives away some sharpness at wider apertures to the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7, I find it to have better contrast The smaller footprint makes for a more pocketable camera.
