I have two Paul Buff Einsteins but they lack high speed sycn, so if you want to over power the sun, I have to shoot at f22 or so.


The Godox, has high speed sycn so I can happily shoot at f2.8 on a bright day. The controls and remote are the easiest and most intuitive I have ever used. I have used some where I have had to spend a lot of time reading the manual or watching youtube. This unite as many dedicated buttons as shown in the picture, for instance to turn on high speed sync just press the lightening icon. No silly toggles to scroll through endless menus, very intuitive. My only complaint is that the AC adapter is very expensive. If Paul Buff doesn't figure out how to make a high speed sync software update for the Einstein (unlikely or they would have done so by now) I will buy another Godox.

I've had a few of these since March. Powerful enough to balance full on sun, Small enough to bring on a plane, and light enough to have an assistant hold it in position.
I shot a wedding today just outside of Chicago(Wish I thought of getting an assistant for this one). It was supposed to storm, but we went with it anyway. Had one of my lights on a 13ft stand with a small soft box, and a 30lb sand bag on the stand. The wind laughed. Down it went. I saw it go down out of the corner of my eye, but getting the shot was more important than my gear. When there was a slight lull during the ceremony I ran over to it, and righted it back up. A guest offered to hold it up for me, and I went back at it. It still was working like a champ! During portraits, after the ceremony, it started to pour on the last set. I kept shooting regardless for another minute or two. Finished up what I needed to do and hurried the lights into a shelter with help from attendees. I did exactly everything you're not supposed to do with these lights. And I highly recommend you don't. But they pulled through. TTL worked like a charm after I dialed it in, Batteries lasted all 4 hours, and the clients will get what they want.
In a nutshell, these lights are great! Also, don't forget to insure your gear. Just in case you don't luck out like I did today.

I have been using this light for two weeks now, put it to a lot of work and works flawlessly, I also used the 36W LED modeling light as fill light for an interview and worked perfectly.

I was thinking investing on a Profoto or Broncolor but then I came up with this and I couldn't be more happy.

I dont know why some reviewers had battery issues but I use this strobe often and get more shots than Godox states to expect on a charge and I even have the modeling light on. I dont question that some people have had problems but everyone doesnt, so if you are interested in getting this strobe instead of something similar costing much more you shouldnt not buy it because a couple of people  had bad batteries.

I bought this AD600pro because I wanted a powerful off  camera flash that could over power the sun, as well as have the option to have its power level be selected from my camera. I had been using an ALien Bees 1600 but it always had to be manually dialed in via a slider on the back of the unit. This flash is powerful, user friendly, and mobile. I use it with the new Godox X trigger, the old one was tricky.

I'm�by no mean any expect when it comes to flash strobe�lights.

I did a lot of research and found this to fit my budget and liked the specs.�

I used it a hand full of times and it just works. Simple to setup and nice the have the TTL option with overwrite. ..

I love this strobe. Its powerful, it feels sturdy and works great! Manual function is easy to navigate and also shoots ttl. Ive only used the manual controls so far. Modeling light is great as well. Im getting great pics and loving it so far. I very careful about taking it out of the studio because it is very sturdy, but the bulb seems delicate and I dont want it around kids, wind, etc where it could be bumped or knocked over. For those shoots Im taking the AD200. Its great as well.

Have 3 x ad600, 2 x ad400 and 3 x ad200 and assorted speedlights. Thousands of flashes, taken on the road for big commercial shoots, all still working like champs. No battery issues at all. They are a little heavy to carry but my think tank production manager has so far worked well for them.

Not sure why my Seconic Light Meter wont triger off the Godox. It will if I plug in a Wizzard. Must be on a different frequency.
