Resurrecting the sough-after sound of a 45W 1965 Marshall JTM45 Plexi tube amp with advanced TC Ampworx modeling tech, the Jims 45 Preamp from TC Electronic delivers the authentic tone, touch, and feel of a vintage tube amp. Sporting two channels (green for master volume control, red for stock circuitry), you can easily reproduce classic British rock and blues tones.
Each channel features independent gain, volume, and EQ controls for perfect tonal shaping. A 5 dB boost is included with its own footswitch, and you can select either Pre or Post boost modes from the rear panel, with Pre boost allowing you drive the amp model harder with a distinct mid-frequency hump. Both the DI output (ideal for PAs, mixers, and interfaces) and the headphone output (ideal for silent practice) offer IR-based simulations of a Celestion 4x12 G12M Creamback cabinet for the sound of a real vintage combo amp. And as a pedalboard-friendly platform, the Jims 45 Preamp will take drive pedals like a champ.

Jimi Hendrix is not only remembered as one of the greatest guitarists to ever live, he is also respected by generations of guitarists for his innovations with guitar equipment. While his signature strat played a role in his sound, it was also formed by his pushing of '60s era tube amps and fuzz pedals to their limit.
Enter the famed '65 Marshall JTM45, a 45W powerhouse known for its legendary plexi tones. With advanced Ampworx capture technology, TC Electronic delivers the incredible volume and crunchy overdrive tones that have made Marshall's mid-1960s amps so famous and sought-after.
Right out of the box, the Jims 45 is set to Dual Channel mode. This configuration keeps the pedal engaged at all times, granting instant access to each of these unique sonic profiles.
However, if you prefer a more traditional stompbox experience, TC Electronic incorporated a bypass mode. Entering this mode allows you to simply stomp the pedal on and off, allowing you to switch between bypass and the channel used before entering bypass mode.
The cabinet speaker plays a crucial role in any combo, and thanks to the advancements in convolution-based IR technology, TC Electronic can now capture the essence of the past with exceptional precision and authenticity. To give you the true sound of the original, they joined forces with Celestion and incorporated the official Celestion impulse response of the revered G12M Creamback 4x12 speaker cab. It's an excellent match that reproduces every nuance of your riffs and solos with equal amounts of ease and elegance.
Jims 45 features an extra addition not present in the original 5150 amp, a 5 dB boost circuit. To enhance its versatility, the pedal offers a selectable Pre or Post boost mode. In the Post mode, the boost circuit functions as a volume boost, elevating the output level without introducing any alteration to your core tone. It simply provides a transparent and pure increase in volume, allowing your original sound to shine through.
Switching to the Pre mode repositions the booster before the amp modeler in the signal chain. This setup drives the amplifier with greater intensity, simulating the effect of a vintage tube screamer placed in front of your amp. This introduces a touch of grit and character, delivering a tasteful vintage-style drive.
By incorporating a global Presence knob on the rear panel, Jims 45 is able to adapt to any musical scenario you may encounter. Recognizing the likelihood of pairing this pedal with a diverse array of amplifiers, cabinets and pedals, TC Electronic introduced this convenient and universal control, enabling you to establish the overall sonic direction. By increasing the presence knob, you will add a touch of brilliance and some additional warmth to match your desired tone.
The Jims 45 offers three independent outputs, all of which can be used simultaneously for a three-way split. You get a DI output ideal for front-of-house (FOH) and PA systems, a line out, and a headphone out for silent practice. The DI and headphone outputs both feature cab simulation of a Celestion G12M Creamback 4x12 cab, while the line out sends a pure, amp-modeled tone, allowing you to send the line out to an optional external IR loader if desired.

Q: 1. Is this adapter compatible with the Sony HXR-MC2500 camcorder?
A: Yes, the Saramonic SR-PAX1 can be used with any camera that has a 3.5mm mic input.
Q: 2. Will this amplifier eliminate the tinny sounding play back on my Mac when trying record from my turn table?
A: I had no problem with tinny sound
Q: 3. Hey! I have a Sennheiser MD 46 dynamic microphone. Do you know if the preamps in the linkflex-ad2 are good enough to boost this dynamic microphone? I would like to use the linkflex to connect the MD 46 to an iPhone (and possibly my good old Zoom H2). Would that work?
A: As previosly answered: 6249490Approved The Linkflex specs show up tp 20dB of gain. which may be enough gain, depending on your subjects volume level. One question is, how much electronic noise will be added to the signal? Another question is, how will the MD46 sound if you must turn the Linflex up to full level on its level control. A big part of how a microphone will sound, is the impedance of the mic pre (the Linkflex) amplifier. The noise spec is not listed in the spec sheet, so I would be weary of this. It may be a lot to include, but this is the reason these; Cloudlifter CL-1, are included in the signal chain with dynamic mics, to improve, not only gain, but performance... Q: 4. Can this be used with the Cisco Webex Meetings app on iOS? Will it output and input audio at the same time?
A: According to Saramonic's marketing team, the SmartRig+ is not recognized by the Cisco Webex Meetings app on iOS. The iPhone does recognize it when used to connect your external microphone, but once the Webex app is loaded, it is no longer recognized. While the SmartRig+ is not compatible with the Webex app, it does work with Zoom.
Q: 5. Hi! I would like to connect a XLR 48v phantom power mic to my Gh5S for better sound. Would this item work for that???
A: Yes, this is designed for exactly that use.
Q: 6. Is the 1/4" input TRS for long cable run from the mixer?
A: No, the 1/4" input is TS for instruments. You can go out from a mixer 1/4" into a direct box than XLR into the SmartRig+Di for best results, or even TRS to XLR cables and then mind the input gain if you do not have a direct box.
Q: 7. I have a Bogen 3068 with 3063 head. Is this bag strong enough to hold this extremely heavy tripod-head combination?
A: Yes this bag is strong enough to hold a Bogen 3068 tripod with the 3063 head attached.

Q: 9. If I do not need phantom power, can I still use it without the battery?
A: The Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter requires power from a 9V battery in all use cases for proper operation. Using the SR-PAX1 with the phantom power feature disengaged still requires power from the internal 9V battery source.
Q: 10. Can you use this for audio input on a live-stream?
A: Yes, the Saramonic SmartRig+ Di can be used to connect microphones and/or instruments for live-streaming audio.
