Dedicated to the Canon EOS R5 Mark II mirrorless camera, the CF-R20EP Battery Grip with Cooling Fan & Ethernet features a multispeed fan to keep the camera cool in challenging video production situations and extend capture times of up to more than 120 minutes of movie recording at 8K 30p.

Within the camera menu, the fan can be set to be off, always on, or on only in standby mode. Three fan speed levels can also be selected. It also features a 2.5G Base-T high speed ethernet port for fast-paced tethered shooting, FTP transfer, remote shooting via EOS Utility, and other operations. The ethernet connection allows you to quickly transmit large numbers of still photos and videos from event venues to editorial offices via its stable wired connection, especially when operating in Dual Shooting mode.

The grip's design accommodates two LP-E6P batteries to effectively double battery life. Additionally, the extended design of the grip facilitates a more stable hold and has the same weather-resistant construction as the camera body for use in wet or dusty conditions.

Pros: Love it, but honestly loved the EOS R version better form factor wise. The toggle joystick is definitely awesome and responsive. Cons: Canon is selling the power adapter separately. It came with the EOS R version. Pretty disappointing... 5

Excellent build quality and super easy to install. Shot about 650 photos and half an hour of video during an all day hike and never had to swap a battery. Ergonomics of the grip felt great for me, although I did notice that my partner has a harder time using the joystick comfortably. The position of the joystick relative to the shutter button does not match up to the ones built into the R5, and the joystick is a bit more of a reach. If you have smaller hands that might be a problem, but for slightly larger hands it worked just fine. Super easy to assemble and rock solid once connected. Used it all day and it never loosened up or started to flex. 5

This grip is absolutely fantastic at sitting in it’s box in the top of my closet while the camera I ordered for it months ago is God-knows-where. I hope to try it out and give an honest review at some point. We’ll see. 5

Very sturdy grip. Love the reshaping of the screw tightener (comparing it to Canon's DSLR grips). Only con for me is the extra spring release you have to hit to release the batteries; took a second to get used to instead of just pulling the battery out (probably just me though). 5

I use all non 1D EOS cameras with a grip. It will help balance when mounted with the larger primes like EF600mm etc. Extra battery is always handy. The grip doesn't come with a USB charger like the R grip. But when plugged in via USB-C on the body, it will charge both batteries via the grip. Buttons, dials, and fit feels just like the body and not cheap. There is joystick, but it is placed bit lower compared to the body, and will take some adjustment/practice. The touch AF orientation doesn't change when using the grip, the same bug like the R. However, this isn't an issue since the touch AF is so much faster that you can go corner to corner without using much of the touchscreen. When I need to have a smaller body, I just take the grip off. 5
