At 5.4 lb the Pro Series LED1000 Daylight LED Light Panel from Dracast is an ideal choice for studio or location work where color accuracy, control, and flicker-free output are of major importance. This 12 x 12" panel is significantly larger than the Pro Series LED500 unit. The LED1000's daylight-balanced output is well suited to outdoor work or for color-matching HMI fixtures, while its high CRI of 96 renders colors with precision and fidelity. Dimming from 0 to 100% is conveniently done with a back-panel knob that adjusts the output with negligible color shift. The low electrical draw of 60W means a timely return on your investment.

The durable anodized aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8" receiver. This LED1000 can be used worldwide thanks to its 100 to 240 VAC power adapter. You can also use the onboard Gold mount battery plate with 14.8 VDC batteries when mains power is unavailable. Accessories include optional 4-way barndoors for contouring and control of the LED1000's 45° beam angle. A carry case is included for convenient storage and portability.

Q: 3. What are the dimensions of the fixture including the yoke mount? Im trying to find a case that would carry this and two of the 500 Pros.

A: THE DRACAST FACTORY PRODUCT INFORMATION SHEET INDICATES THAT THE LED1000 PLUS DAYLIGHT LED LIGHT HAS DIMENSIONS OF 12 TALL WITHOUT THE YOKE AND 16 TALL INCLUDING THE YOKE X 13.375 WIDE AND 2.5 DEEP. THE CATALOG SHEET WE HAVE INDICATES THAT THE LED LIGHT/YOKE COMBINATION IS ALSO 12 , WHICH IS INCORRECT. THE SHIPPING BOX FROM THE FACTORY INCLUDING THE PACKING MATERIAL IS 18 TALL X 18 WIDE BY 8 DEEP. IF WE WERE TO CARRY THESE IN ONE CONTAINER WE WOULD USE INTERNAL DIMENSIONS, INCLUDING THE PACKING MATERIAL, A MINIMUM OF 36 LONG X 18 TALL X 8 DEEP. TWO OF THE LED LIGHTS WOULD BE STORED NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER IN THIS SENARIO. THERE MAY BE ROOM TO STORE YOUR ADDITIONAL ITEMS IN THE SAME CONTAINER ... ALL WITH EFFECTIVE PROTECTION AROUND IT ALL.

A: Yes, David is correct. For example, if you had barndoors on this light, where the door shadow was cast on the wall, you would see a noticeable point-source effect. A: These lights only flicker when you turn them on and off really really fast. ha ha!! Seriously though, they do not flicker (or at least, they SHOULD not flicker). I purchased these LED panels to improve the quality of my video interviews, short films, and still photography. I do not regret my decision to purchase one bit. Dracast LEDs are lightweight but durable, have spot-on color accuracy, and are bright. I highly recommend having a pair of LEDs in your arsenal. These lights are very cool and allow my interview subjects to sit for long periods of time without sweat dripping down their faces.In my experience, Dracast has great customer service. They are always enthusiastic over the phone and are willing to help with any buying decisions. I will definitely be a repeat customer. 5

I was looking for a light that was bright, had the option of a battery, could be used at some distance away from the subject, quick setup, and could be used on location within the business environment. After careful research of the various lights on the market I decided to the give the Dracast 1000 a try. The light performed flawlessly shooting groups , full length portraits, and head shots. The light has a strong frame, strong optional barn doors, nice quality of light with accurate color reproduction that wraps around your subject. The shoot was faster and easier than strobes. What you see is what you get. With the optional battery I didn't have to drag around electric cords and it eliminated the need for multiple test shots to balance strobes. It was a lot quicker and easier to move from location to location. The light comes with a soft case. I would recommend a hard case for better protection. I didn't care for the PVC tilt adjusting knobs and soft rubber washers. I wish it had a remote control and a digital read out for light output. All and all it is a great light and I will be purchasing another in the near future. I will be receiving a free gift for posting my comments. 5

These lights are awesome. They feel solid and the color accuracy is fantastic. I owned LEDs from other manufacturers and always hated having to bring additional Magenta/Green gels to make them acceptable. The lights are also very bright and have no trouble filling a room but can also be dimmed to be exactly what you need with no color change. I also purchased the barn doors (a must) and the drop in diffusion which is really convenient as I will almost always diffuse the lights to really bring out the light quality produced by the square panel shape. Additionally they produce almost no heat which was a constant strain when I would use hot lights, especially in smaller spaces. I highly recommend these and I firmly believe the price is right for the flexibility and quality these lights offer. 5

Had an architectural shoot requiring about 1000 images indoors. Lots of set-up and moving around. Light was barely warm to the touch, so made the shoot very efficient. Works very well when using as a ring light by placing it directly behind the camera body. 5
